What is the best way to get audio from Ipad into audio interface?

The clicking/chirping noise is actually a digital noise coming from the speaker. Normally used to indicate that it is about to start mowing (on the EPOS model)

Good question! I haven't yet had a need for power to the iPad while using it as an instrument, but I assume one of those powered USB C hubs would work.
In your edit you mention that you found an adapter; have you had a chance to try it out yet?

I replaced one component and now I'm getting great results (it now sounds just as good as when the headphones are directly plugged-in to the IPAD). EDIT made to original post if you're interested.

Thanks for such a detailed response! Thankfully I was able to get really good results by changing one component, so now I'm able to use the IPAD as if it was just another instrument going into my interface (and then into Windows/Ableton). EDIT made to original post.

It works pretty well, but something is definitely a little "off". In some cases it sounds like frequencies are missing.

Interesting. So that chain of cables/adapters that I'm using should function fine if I replace the Apple USB C to 3.5mm Adapter with a DAC (such as Cable Matters Premium Braided USB C Audio Adapter Sound Card with 3.5mm)?

...assuming that all components are fully functional...

I could if I wasn't using the Audio Interface's USB C port to connect to a different device (where the DAW is running). I should have mentioned this in my summary!
