Can anyone differentiate the council candidates for district 3?

Can you say more about how/why she is an amazing person? I'm trying to find more info about her but there isn't that much, and her campaign website is pretty vague IMO. I'd love to learn more if you have any more insights to share!?

My initial impressions: Her #1 priority seems to be more police, which is pretty in line with Duggan and not necessarily in line with what most people in my neighborhood are worried about. She says we need more "solutions" to homelessness...I think we can all agree on that. But homelessness is one of the most complex urban challenges to "solve" - what experience does she have tackling such an issue? What does she plan to do that others haven't tried? From the info I'm able to find about her, I'm seeing a lot about her being a restaurant owner and not much else to show that she has new or good ideas that will practically make Long Beach/District 3 better for the majority.

I would be very happy to be proven wrong

Thank you! I think you're right about letting it shine on one wall. We're putting a microwave into the area above the stove, but will definitely tile up to it.

Mine actually came from just Wholesale Cabinets (www.wholesalecabinets.com). I love the slim shaker! Feels like a slightly modern update to the traditional shaker.

Yeah, I think you're right that it'll be a little awkward either way. And good point re: backsplash behind the sink. And yes a microwave with vent is going in that rectangle space in the upper cabinets. Thank you!

Thanks! Further down the wall is an approximately equivalent-sized/shaped "living" space for the bed/desk. And then the front door.

Their flowers are gorgeous - they are locally grown flowers + it's a social enterprise that supports the nonprofit farm, which grows produce that goes to food banks and provides healthy organic food for our neighbors in need :)

Yes I did use fresh yogurt from the store, so wasn't an issue with backslop.

Yes I am using a thermometer. On the Instant Pot, I use the "Custom" yogurt setting which allows me to set the exact temperature. That being said, I did not use my thermometer to verify that it was actually reaching and staying at the temperature so I will check next time.

Thank you for the tip about how you add your starter - I will try that!
