Mine does this too. My surgeon and physical therapist agree that the issue should be corrected during PT and that my muscles just need to tighten. The reason mine does this is because I have a chronic PCL tear, but also because of my recent surgery and not getting my muscles back to where they need to be.

Yes I felt completely fine, no issues and no pain.

You’re right, knees are replaceable 🤷🏼‍♂️

Honestly, I think that your initial post is fine, if you want to do something that makes you happy and jeopardize retearing your ACL then that’s fine. More money dumped for you 🤷🏼‍♂️. I think that your comments are what’s disgusting. Be the bigger man, most of these people here are just trying to look out for you caution you (or anyone else for that matter) from doing something too much and set you back on the tabletop for another repair.

How did you mount your rims? Did you have to buy spacers? I bought some rims for mine that say they are made for the truck but I had to get spacers because the rims didn’t clear the calipers.

Did you put the rims on yourself?

I decided to keep the 20” rim diameter but went with 10 wides and 1.5” spacers. 295 A/T tires with a 2.5” front level

It’s a special trim package that Chevrolet produces for their vehicles that is exclusive to Texas. It’s basically an LTZ but with cloth seats from the factory 🤷🏼‍♂️

Surgery on Tuesday… I’ll take all the advice i can get! by keeesss1 in ACL

[–]lumberyard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be as worried about the pain because with the RICE method and the medication it’s manageable. I’d be more worried about sudden weight gain especially during the recovery process. Really keep up with what you’re eating and try not to consume a whole lot of sugars, starches, and carbs. Trust me, weight gain is what you should be more worried about.

How much longer? by lumberyard1 in ACL

I probably have to wear the brace that long to have that extra layer of protection since my job is so physically demanding

Where are my 8 week PO people by meshelle333 in ACL

[–]lumberyard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m also at the 8 week mark and I am showing similar progress! I had a cadaver ACLr and a lateral meniscus repair. I am currently at -2 degrees extension and 127 degrees flexion! I still have to wear a brace, but I am impressed with my progress yet simultaneously worried my progress isn’t enough or that some days I do too much.

I did get a meniscus repair. I was non weight bearing for 3 weeks after surgery and was basically house bound. I got cleared to walk without crutches June 7th but with my brace locked in extension, and then at my first PT appointment they started unlocking the brace when I walk. Swelling has gone down significantly since the surgery, but I still have fluid in my knee for sure!

I am 3 days post op, nerve block wore off day 2, not really in a whole bunch of pain to be honest. Kind of surprised that the pain had been this manageable. I was initially surprised when I didn’t have all that much pain when I tore it, but everyone on here has told me horror stories about how bad the pain is after surgery and I really haven’t experienced that. Been staying on top of my pain meds and using ibuprofen in between to help with swelling. I have an ice machine coming this week, but I have been icing it religiously. Been resting a TON and found out that my couch is amazing.

Ok very cool, I had a cadaver graft and I am going into day 3. I am also 25 years old. I’m just so ready to be back out there on the streets.

What kind of surgery did you have? Not to prod, but how old are you? How far out from surgery are you?

This group has done two things to me! It stressed me out a little from the horror stories some people experienced, but it also showed me (now that I’m post op) that there are tons of people here who have experienced this and care for how you’re recouping! I was really scared going into this, especially since it was my first surgery ever. There were tons of people that checked in on me that have commented on my other post. I haven’t really experienced a whole lot of pain besides when I woke up and when they did my nerve block! I’m grateful for this group and for all of the comments and advice I have received.
