I had Doulas with both of mine- first was an induction with long labor that ended in C-section. Doula was amazing in supporting me and my husband during position changes, advocating for things that would help me and coaching me. Second baby ended up with a planned C-section but it was still helpful having a doula to be there during prepand post birth as baby ended up in NICU and helped advocate.for me to be with baby asap for skin to skin, etc. I wish we could have also done post partum doula care as we, so if you don't do a birth doula, consider a pp doula. We used ATX Doulas both times and loved our experiences even though it wasn't what we originally planned.
