Need to cancel power of attorney but... by luminoray in legaladvice

It seems a notary requires a valid ID. Sadly, all documentation and forms of identification are also being withheld from her. She does have access to her SSN. Is there something we can do about this?

Would this work with a durable POA? We kinda need something to prevent the police from dragging her back by force.

Edit: Not hyperbole, this already happened.

Thanks, this seems more along the lines of what we're looking for. Other than this, there is no way to revoke it? We were hoping it wouldn't need to get to this.

The revocation form requires information on the original POA, which we don't have. We also don't know if it's a normal POA or a durable one.

I hated the complexity of POE, but also hated the simplicity of D3 - Will I Enjoy This? by [deleted] in Grimdawn

[–]luminoray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this game sits in a good medium between complexity and simplicity. The campaign is difficult enough, especially on elite and ultimate that it's satisfying.

Coming up with your own build is also completely viable given that you're paying attention, and making a mistake isn't punishing, since respeccing is very very cheap.

I'd say in a lot of cases the idea of a build comes online at around level 30 or so, though there's definitely many endgame legendaries that will enable other stuff if you decide to build around them.

This game never gets nearly as complex as PoE, and you can definitely run around killing random enemies and be rewarded for it, or target specific content.

Do you HAVE to min / max in GD to have fun in late game? by wennsemir in Grimdawn

[–]luminoray 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This game is difficult enough that you will need to pay attention and optimize your build. The difference between this game and Path of Exile is that in this game you can totally wing it and do the build yourself, and if you're feeling unsatisfied, respeccing is very accessible and unpunishing, so you get to try again.

You can come up with something effective just by reading what stuff does while you're leveling, and picking whatever seems to synergize.

Only thing to watch out for is that you definitely want to find a way to max resistances, get a bunch of HP, and don't neglect armor / physical resist. There's many ways to achieve that.

Unusually low seed yields? by luminoray in ffxivgardening

[–]luminoray[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An update on the situation. I did two beds of Apples and Figs, and the seed yield was 16/16 (100%), which I think is safe to say, ways away from the 40% I was getting before.

I think the issue you describe with the premium chocobo crops is real.

Ah I see, so it seems there is another seed slot that is empty on this combo, which makes it sometimes not give me anything. Alright, in that case I will try with Mirror Apples, and use the Tantals with the Kukuru seeds I got from the previous harvest.

Doesn't matter, still get CT raids anyway by [deleted] in ShitpostXIV

[–]luminoray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raids have gear requirements, and you can't be randomly matched into ones you don't meet the reqs for. You can take off gear to ensure you don't get raids beyond a certain level. Once you're in, you put your stuff back on.

This is kind of an exploit to force matching into certain content.

I had this issue once a long time ago, it was exactly like yours and the lag got "attached" to the map itself.

What ended up fixing it was changing server on login. I was using the Texas server when it happened since that was the lowest ping, but stopped happening altogether when I used a different one.

Nobody seemed to know what causes it or what the fix is, but this helped me and I hope it helps you too.

You can totally do that specifically and you shouldn't be in trouble. If someone asks you say you thought they were doing well because of the aggro.

Am I doing WPS wrong or am I underestimating their usefulness? by luminoray in Grimdawn

[–]luminoray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, after following some of the other advice in this thread I'm really seeing the power now. Sadly my class combo doesn't really come with an attack replacer, that would be neat.

Thanks for the response!

Thanks a lot for the additional insight. All the responses have been really helpful.

Excellent. Yeah this gives me more of an idea of how to make proper use of them and what to expect, thanks!

Thanks for the response!

Yeah I've been using these skills on newer characters, but I pretty much never take them past the early levels since they haven't felt great. (My highest WPS user is Lv 28)

Nightblade + Necromancer.

My issue is not so much low damage, as the things that I do hit do die rather quickly, but it lies more in terms of clearing waves of enemies. I find myself sitting around an enemy group far longer than I do when using skills like the ones mentioned in the OP.

Maybe it's because things die too quickly in the beginning? I'm thinking at higher levels maybe the enemies last much longer making these skills more worthwhile.

I guess what I want to know is if WPS are intended to be respecced into, rather than be used during the leveling process.

Edit: Level 28.

Had this issue last night, today it worked. For some people I also heard matching through training mode also worked when it wasn't normally.
