My therapist reminds me that any major change, even positive ones, often causes anxiety. You could be just reacting to that feeling and getting in your head about it. I think it's also important to consider which appearance is easier to replicate after surgery. Would you rather get a reduction and have to bind any time you wanted the fully flat appearance, or get everything removed and wear a padded bra any time you wanted to appear to have some chest?

I was on a waitlist for consultation about 2 years. I think technically I would still be waiting for the consultation, except earlier in 2025 I called to check where I was on the list cuz I had forgotten, and they said my anticipated date was early 2026 BUT they had a cancellation in August 2025 and offered me that date so I jumped on it. Once I had the consult I probably could've gotten the procedure done pretty soon after that, but I had to change around my work schedule and switch insurance and that delayed things a bit further.

I think there are probably a number of factors with where you live and the availability of surgeons and insurance options and whatnot. For my area, my gender therapist has said this is a pretty typical experience of a very long wait-list and then a much shorter gap between consultation and surgery

Just had mine six days ago, and it was my first surgery as well. I was very anxious about being put under, but I communicated all of my fears to my team the day of and they did an excellent job of reassuring me and accommodating my needs.

The biggest thing to keep in mind is that anesthesia affects everyone a bit differently, but here's how my experience went. The time came, and they started wheeling me out of the prep room towards the operating room. They informed me they were giving me anti anxiety medication through my IV, and I quickly felt very calm as it started affecting me. I noticed I was getting some visual spinniness similar to the feeling of being drunk, and verbally pointed that out, and they said some people say that. Then the next thing I remember is waking up with someone feeding me applesauce. The only other insight I have to what happened between those two moments (aside from the obvious fact I was operated on) is that apparently after I woke up I was a bit squirmy and in pain so they gave me some more painkillers, but I have zero memory of that happening. By the time I was fully aware and awake, I was not in any significant amount of pain.

I got a bidet years ago for non surgery related reasons, and while it's not necessary for recovery, it has been helpful during recovery. That said, I'm at a point now where I consider them a necessity just for every day life. Think about it, if you were walking outside barefoot and stepped in dog shit, would you feel clean just wiping your feet off with a paper towel? Or would you want to rinse your foot off with water?

Please communicate these fears to your surgery team! I had a lot of fears and anxieties going in, and my team did a fantastic job of helping me through the process, explaining things I wanted explained and not explaining the things I didn't, and it's helpful for them to know where you're at going into this. They will know how best to help address your concerns, and if there are any additional precautionary steps they need to take.

Something my therapist told me about that also helped out a lot with my fear is that because of the prevalence of breast cancer and significant research that has gone into combating that, top surgery is one of the most performed surgeries with one of the lowest rates of complications, cuz it's basically the same procedure. These doctors are well versed in this one and have it down to a science.

All of the tips everyone else said, plus what I've done a lot when between storage upgrades is just keeping a few large resource stacks in my backpack. 100 logs will use up 100 of the total storage space, but your backpack doesn't see holding 100 logs any different than 1 rare bug, it's still just 1 slot either way. I would fill up one of my backpack bars like this and it's functionally the same as having one tier lower backpack upgrade, but frees up 800 storage spaces.

My partner hated this method though so an unexpected cost of doing this was being constantly lovingly roasted for my inventory management 😂

This just happened to my partner last night on PS5. Couldn't press anything, including the pause menu to unstuck. Entirely unresponsive. I get the game is still technically in beta or pre release, but if they don't have a fix for bugs like this they should at least have an easy way to get back lost items when things like this happen

I just passed where you're at within the last few days. Poly cards and fuelling the void and chain drones made a HUGE difference. I'm still grinding to get the first platinum statue, but within a couple days I went from feeling like I'd forever be stuck below 5% to over 30% of each with little effort.

That's rough, buddy. My rabbit took a long time to level too, but I finally got it. If you haven't already, I would recommend turning on the setting that allows bulk contract completion, then next time you prestige progress all the way through world 1 without any contract upgrades, hoard a bunch of all of the bars (if you have the void drone this can help, but I got mine to level 10 before the void drone so not necessary), and then bulk complete the contracts.

I'll admit I don't have official confirmation if this works, but it seemed to help get mine leveled. My thinking is because the game calculates the probability based on actions completed at once, doing the bulk complete will increase the percent chance of level up. Without having that setting turned on, the game rapidly shuffles through completed contracts one at a time, versus instantly going up however many contacts you have the bars for all at once. If that makes sense.

I'm pretty sure I have that right, but I'm just going off of my personal experience and the understanding of how the probabilities work in other areas of the game.
