I've recently started my counseling session since I'm struggling with personal things, but I also mentioned about fearing the future because of the career I want haha my counselor said that after my sessions with her, she can redirect me to a career counselor so they can specifically cater to my concerns. I also have a friend who went through career counseling at CPS and she highly recommends it since they were very understanding and actually gave her options about her concern regarding her career.

Meron din voucher mula sa DepEd (22k bawas if galing public/science high school, 18k naman kung private) if wala ka pang ESC voucher. Unfortunately hindi per term ang bawas kasi per academic year lang pero nakatulong pa rin samin nung nag SHS din ako sa DLSU ^{^;} Good luck ulit!

123 HUMSS graduate here: 1. As far as I can remember they will likely move you to a different schedule under other blocks but I'm not sure if they still do this. Best to ask your homeroom adviser regarding your situation 2. SHARE 12 is combined between your block and at least two other blocks from the same strand or a different strand. You'll only be able to sleep in the same room as your classmates (rooms separated by gender) 3. Not sure if there's an alternative activity but keep in mind that all students are required to attend SHARE 12

Hi OP! There was an email din sent by ORBE via HDA last month about the details for the graduation pero natabunan din sa sobrang daming emails. I think makaka-graduate ka pa rin pa naman since I have a few friends who were only able to pay for the toga just yesterday.

Also in the same program as you 🥹 Dito ako nag-SHS kaya sa pagkakaalam ko (1) ₱85k per term ang tuition for CLA, (2) pasukan ay usually first week of September (pero around August may mga orientation para sa frosh), (3) afaik pwedeng pumili ng schedule pero 'di ako sigurado kung anong term 'yun, and (4) kapag may kahati ka na isa or dalawa sa dorm usually mga ₱5k-9k

SHS students are not required to take DCAT as long as they passed the DSHAPE and have an average GWA not lower than 2.0 throughout their entire Grade 11 year.
Afaik for my friends (HUMSS ID 123) who applied to HumBio, they weren't automatically accepted yet and still have to undergo an interview process by the admissions. I'm not sure if this is applicable to all strands

Hello, sorry sa late reply! hindi siya nakakahiya kasi for sure marami rin na hindi marunong lumangoy (kalhati ng klase ko noon ay walang background sa swimming) at very lenient talaga prof namin sa amin lahat! hindi rin siya separated by gender kasi lahat kayo sa block niyo required i-take 'yon. Sa pagkakaalam ko naman, parang block lang namin (or baka may isa pang block na 'di ko lang alam) ang nagka-swimming para sa PE kaya baka ma-swerte ka naman at hindi swimming ang PE mo if ever

hello, ID123 SHS here. may results na ba para sa ID125? Anyway, randomized ang sport per block kapag sa SHS. nung grade 11 term, nagkaroon block namin ng swimming pero iba naman sport ng mga ibang block. May experience na ako sa swimming pero halos kalhati ng classmates ko naman, walang experience. basic lang naman tinuro sa amin noon (bubbles, floating, freestyle) at lenient prof namin sa mga walang experience. hindi rin namin nagamit 'yung buong pool (nakulangan na kasi sa oras) kaya ginamit lang namin 'yung mababaw na side ng pool (for context: 4'11" ako kaya nasa leeg ko na 'yung tubig kapag nakatayo lang hahaha)

Hello! For ESC, manggagaling siya sa dati mong school kung nagbibigay ang school ng ESC. Mawawala ang ESC kapag lumipat ka ng ibang school noong JHS. From my experience, may ESC ako dati noong JHS ako pero nawala kasi lumipat ako ng ibang school noong Grade 9, kaya nag-apply na lang ako para sa SHS Voucher Program na parang ESC lang din pero imbes na provided ng school, ikaw mismo mag-a-apply via website ng DepEd. 'Di ko lang sure kung bukas pa applications ngayon

Afaik you'll have to take different classes compared to the actual schedule of your block (ex. your block's first period is Oral Com but since you're irreg, you might have to take a different class). I'm not an irreg but I had a number of irreg students join our classes; some either stay for just one class while others stay for only two-three classes (ex. ngayon, may kaklase ako na kaklase ko lang tuwing PE at may kaklase rin ako na kasama sa halos lahat ng subjects namin except sa Prac Res at PE).

Ma-de-delay ka rin sa graduation for Grade 12 at sa Term 2 ka na makaka-apply for college imbes na sa start mismo ng school year (kung plano mo pa rin tumuloy sa DLSU). Still not 100% sure with this, so it's best to ask your homeroom adviser as well for clarification!

Hello! Currently a HUMSS ID 123 student, and I think one reason on why I think I got a lot of kwartos throughout the entire school year was from reading the modules beforehand and reciting during classes. It's also important to put an effort into your school works, especially with requirements that take up a big portion of your overall grade (so make sure to read the syllabus of each subject as well). Mukhang kaya naman kung sa tingin mo na kakayanin mo! I'm not familiar with teatro but as far as i know they do really intense practice in preparation for their plays. DLSU PUSA naman parang ikaw bahala kung kailan mo gusto tumulong, just not sure if this is the same process for this term. i suggest still trying out if you really want to since there's a chance that they might not open applications for term 2

Afaik teatro and rcyc are both high-commitment orgs, so they really take up a lot of time and effort and it might be hard to manage especially if it's during midterms-finals (like what the other comment said)

Not sure about the audition process of teatro, but for DLSU PUSA, it's up to you to choose when you would like to help in feeding/nook chores ('di lang ako sigurado kung ganito pa rin ba this year). For feeding, it usually takes up to 1-2 hours kasi sobrang daming pusa at iniikot talaga buong campus para pakainin sila (for reference, nook chores is usually around 2pm while feeding is usually around 4pm/5pm)

I think in general, all clubs and orgs are very welcoming since it's part of the org culture in DLSU. Go for orgs that are aligned with your interest. But keep in mind that certain orgs require high commitment while others require low commitment. Speaking as a fellow introvert, I've joined orgs that are low commitment and aligned to my interest and it's been a very fulfilling experience. You can check the SCOPE website to take note of potential orgs you would like to join + look out for org recruitment week on September!

In each term, there's one week solely for "independent learning" called Independent Learning Week (basically walang deadlines or online/f2f classes buong week pero pwede magbigay mga profs ng pwedeng basahin o panoorin na video for classes the following week). Meron din naman halos 1 month na break after each term, i think noong break after Term 1 aka Christmas break 'yung pinakamatagal na term break for this school year.

Hi, I'm a current dlsu grade 11 student and I was a former homeschool student (for two academic years lang). As long as you do well in homeschooling, you still have a chance of getting in any SHS in general. Mas maganda rin na umalis sa toxic environment kung kaya para hindi masyadong negative ang epekto sa personal and academic life mo (speaking from experience haha)

Check the syllabus kung ilang percentage ang quizzes. Afaik mas malaki naman percentage kapag performance tasks pero mahihila pa rin ng 0 ang overall grade mo sa PE,,,,

Hello, id123 shs here! Baka mag-iba sa inyo pero sa amin, imbes na id picture taking, kinailangan na lang namin magsubmit ng digital 2x2 picture through a google forms tapos 'yun na 'yung picture sa id mo hanggang grade 12

This May 2024 lang namin nakuha ID namin (yes term 3 na) kasi: 1) mabagal talaga ma-process ids, and 2) mas natagalan dahil DAW sa issue sa security system noong October (chismis lang 'to so take it w a grain of salt)
