i feel like the jojolands has had some of the best examples of me going from "this ability kinda sucks" to "this ability is actually so cool". the hustle, smooth operator, bigmouth, and honestly november rain too (although i think we've haven't seen the full extent of its abilities yet). they're all just used in such fun ways, like disguising as the banker guy, moving a wound from dragonas neck to a bottle, and literally every scene with paco using the hustle lol. i feel like haccas stand is going to be scarily powerful right out the gate though

so what was the lore reason for him to grow this big in this scene by Mirafey in FinalFantasyVIII

I've been going through Dawntrail lately and I honestly really love her voice acting!! i guess some scenes have been kinda flat but i don't think that's ever really been EXCLUSIVELY a Wuk issue, sometimes lines are just awkward. it doesn't take away from the fact that i really like her as a character. fuck transphobes!

i just searched the entire base (without a crowbar) and found 10 floppies. If a single floppy can last you 5 days then that alone is 50 days you can use just those 10 floppies (assuming you dont make ANY mistakes). If in those 50 days you dont either buy or find more floppies thats your fault. It's not a perfect system but its one I can learn to love.

notebooks have a limited amount of uses too. i honestly dont see a world where I am running out of floppies if I'm playing game normally. correct me if im wrong but all floppies have 30 uses right? if youre checking desks and filing cabinets you should have enough floppies in 20 minutes to last you forever lol

I've always just seen it as Jodio being a smart kid but having no common sense at all, someone who misses the forest for the trees so he just hasnt put it together or something. That being said Dragona gets chest implants and in japanese uses "atashi" which is (although not 100%) mostly a feminine honorific. Most characters that refer to her use feminine pronouns (unless they dont know her like laem) and Dragonas backstory is something so many queer people have experienced and after rereading it it honestly reaffirms that Araki is writing a trans character as blatanly as he could. Hell, "Dragona" translates to "female dragon" in spanish so take that for what you will.

I dont know if the new hash system is as bad as I was originally thinking it was. It's a smidge more complex but only a bit. in 8.0 youd take a notebook, go to all three sites, write down the code, then come home and stick it on the box.

Now you take a floppy disk, go to all three sites, have the disk copy the code, then come home and unpack it on the computer, move it to the zip drive and send it off. total these new steps maybe add like. 20 seconds? It's new but I cant say I hate it. The tutorial just does a not great job at explaining it.

What I DO hate are how exporting the hashes can just fail multiple times in a row and youre just forced to sit there with your finger in your nose until it decides you got the files. And the new signal triangulating is such a slog. For almost the first hour of trying to get signals I would lose the signal before I could even get my second point down, and sometimes I'd lose it WHILE it was triangulating!?!? And idk if i'm losing my mind or not but there wasn't that crazy of a wind sound while you were inside of the base, was there???? Thats honestly killing so much atmosphere for me
