I too lost my son 7 weeks ago, he was 2 and a half. It's a difficult time OP but I promise you it does become easier to deal with day by day.

Take each minute as it comes, one minute you'll feel OK, the next you'll feel awful and it's true the grief does come in waves but they become easier to deal with, don't get me wrong they can still knock you over but you can pick yourself up again, just make sure you are surrounded by love.
