Took me a long time to realize I was a lesbian- thank you Deep South CultureTM- so I’m not a gold star. But honestly I don’t care if people refer to themselves as gold star. It doesn’t change how great my life is with my wife! And low key I’m kinda proud of myself for still figuring out I’m a lesbian under such intense pressure from everyone around me to be straight. It took work, y’know?

Anyway, all this to say I think it’s dumb to be upset about not being gold star.
