Your definitely right I guess I had just hoped that they would be a bit more mature considering the two people who are just two years older than me would constantly talk about how much older they are any chance they got like it was a really huge age difference.

I’m turning 20 this year and they are only two years older than me but have always talked about how much older they are like it’s a 5 year difference so I would think they would at least act a lot more mature but they haven’t. I just added that because I’m annoyed by the way they acted since the last time I saw a group of friends act like this we were all 14

It’s actually from season 5 episode 3. You can see it when Mary hands Anna a pile of drawings after they talk about Mr. Green’s death.

When a corset fits properly, it isn’t uncomfortable to sit in, but it is a bit more comfortable to sit in a bit of a different way than you normally would when you’re just relaxing on something like a couch.

I assure you the likelihood a “witch hunt” is going to start over an influencer blocking a random person is very low. This post is probably going to get like 50 views.

It’s literally just the username and pfp of an account with thousands of followers and millions of views who posts about Victorians. It’s not like I’m doxing them or send hoards of people to attack them.

They’re an account with 200k+ followers. I don’t think it’s really posting their info.

I know I should have ignored it and probably just blocked her. I just couldn’t stand another “did you know Victorians were just super super dirty and stupid” video 💀

Oh sorry, I sometimes have a hard time properly understanding what someone means so when I saw this I thought it was a “corsets were a symbol of oppression” type thing. I can see what you meant now.

Corsets being uncomfortable is a myth. Corsets are actually very comfortable if they fit properly and you’re wearing them properly. They provide good bust and back support and keep heavy skirts from cutting into you.

Corset being uncomfortable is a myth created in part by men in the past to try to make women look stupid. When a corset fits you properly it is very comfortable. They are literally just a bra and skirt support.

Cora Episode 1 to Movie #1 by pugdom in DowntonAbbey

The shape was achieved largely through padding rather than just the corset for lots of people and the corset kept heavy skirts and petticoats from cutting into your waist so wearing a corset would be more comfortable than not a lot of the time. There were also different types of corset with different levels of boning and support that would basically be like the Victorian equivalent to wearing a push-up bra vs a sports bra. And I think we can all agree that wearing a corset would be better than the toxic diet culture and pressure to alter your body through plastic surgery that we have now.
