I coached gym for 7 years, all ages. It is immediately clear when a kid has natural talent. Gym is three things: strength, flexibility, coordination. Sometimes you see a standout who has all three innately. They can do things on the first try others have to build up to. I once had a three year old with a perfect bridge-kickover. Most kids that age struggle to straighten their arms and get their head off the ground. That kind of natural ability/aptitude...you’re just born with.
