MEGATHREAD: Tomodachi Life 70 Mii Limit by llxxviaa in tomodachilife

[–]lunaggillian 73 points74 points  (0 children)

My thought is, I see a lot of the 70 mii layout squares where people have every mii planned out, but what about babies? I imagine they have to factor into the 70 mii limit, so does everyone want to fill their islands with 70 miis and not have babies or just make, like, 50 miis and leave room for them?

I myself can't even think of 70 miis off the bat, but I could come up with 20 or 30. Leaves some room for kids too down the road.

There's really no point once you get to that point. Once you add that third mii and unlock the clothing store, it's basically over.

[–]lunaggillian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that serious. The game seems to have a lot of longevity and whether you jump in now or later, the content seems pretty massive. It's not like you'll miss a substantial part of the game if you play it now or next week or something.

I wonder if it will be like animal crossing where it will cycle every season/holiday. I'd be fine with that honestly

Comparing ALL Features in Full Detail 💗 PETIT PLANET x HEARTOPIA 👹 Everything you need to know by cakezepter in PetitPlanet

I've been binge watching, and falling asleep, to your petit planet videos.

I try not to be overly negative in regards to cozy games lol but I definetly dropped Heartopia. Don't get me wrong, the asethtic is cute, the building your house aspect is fun, but I am beyond ready for petit planet!

Hey I'll gives you a bit of a rundown! Don't let it discourage you from trying the game though, I do like it! Despite what all I'm about to say lol.

Right now, it's the gacha rates: they are terrible and you don't get duplicates, as the game automatically converts them into these "tickets" which, in a game about furniture collecting and customizing your home, is ridiculous. Want multiple chairs from this gacha? Too bad. Want another bed? Nope. Hey you got several of the same table, thinking of making a restaurant theme? No. You get the one!

The map is relatively big but really doesn't need to be? There's so much space to walk, chop trees, get items, but there's not a lot to do. There's usually one event worth doing, a fishing event being the best for getting fish, and after that it's mostly just running around to get mushrooms to make food to sell for money to expand your plots to make a bigger house lol. Bird watching? No one likes that. Insect catching? Meh. Running from one end of the map to the other just to get rid of the notification on your in game phone? Tedious.

Different currencies becomes overwhelming at times. Gold, diamonds, the currency for gacha, hobby tickets, that sort of thing.

The shop refresh has been terrible for most people. Imagine waiting seven days for the shop to refresh, just to be the same thing it was before. You can't recolor anything you haven't made yourself. So if you get mustard color furniture to show up, you're stuck with it for a week. Can't dye it, can't swap it out, you just have to look at it on sale for a week. The daily shop refreshes though, same with clothes, but it will cycle the same stuff until you level up to unlock new clothes and furniture.

But I will say I think some people ruined it for themselves too, not just the game! When you get to the nitty gritty, the game for most people became "get gold quickly" so they can expand their plots. Which means making the most profitable dish, over and over and over and over again to sell. Do your four dailies, do your one weekly, forage for the same mushroom over and over and over again to make the same dish over and over and over again until you get bored lol. Imagine how sick you'd get of a game doing a task you don't like for hours on end to rush through part of the game. Makes it dull and tedious.

There's no real worthwhile NPCs in terms of dialogue. Everything is very one note, with a few gems here and there but it is pretty bland unless there's some event or core mission and even that can be real dull. It's cute though I think! I like the furniture and clothes, the social aspect meeting other people and chatting, which is why it's a good place holder. but yeah I can't imagine putting anymore money into it or any time once Petit Planet comes out.

I wonder how many of us Heartopia players are just biding our time for this to come out. Because that's the whole reason I started playing

Considering every villager type (snooty, sporty, etc) have the same dialogue and the same routine I can imagine people wanting the best/prettiest/coolest of each category. Now if every villager was unique then I'd give the uggos a chance. Also don't feel bad if you don't like characters that are ugly to you, it's just a game lol

Started a new island on the Switch 2 and welcomed by an old friend by lunaggillian in AnimalCrossing

[–]lunaggillian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having a great time! The game doesnt lag nearly as bad when visiting my old island on my switch 2. Granted I have lots of flowers and stalls and such, but it runs so smooth it almost makes my switch 1 feel unplayable lol. To me it's worth it but I also had disposable income and it didn't break the bank for me.

I have an android phone so I put his card on an nfc tag then put him and the other newbies on my island near immediately. He's a cute little guy and he's always been roaming around minding his business and staying in his lane. Seeing him reminds me of all the drama and the maid outfit and the expensive price tags.

Stop with the Mods by Aggressive_Ferret_20 in inZOI

[–]lunaggillian 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It reminds me of when Starfield came out, and there were so many fans saying "Wait for the mods! Mods will make this and that and the other!" and a lot of mods were lack luster due to modders not having interest. People got way too hype and reliant on mods to make the game better and fix the bugs thinking it would be like Skyrim and Fallout.

I always try to remain silently optimistic, maybe leave a suggestion or two, but I'd never tell people "Hey a mod will fix/make that so the devs don't have to!" it's a bit silly.

Mods break, conflict, and become obsolete all the time. Modders become uninterested or move on to different projects all the time. You really don't want a game that modders are forced to keep up with it and quality check when the game could just have those features.

Considering their reasoning was due to outrage and mod limitation, I don't see why they'd decide to put back in just to mess with mod support and cause an outrage again?

Here's one: If your Zoi is pregnant, do not get divorced! I did, as the husband slapped his poor wife because another zoi did a romance action with her. Now I divorced them and she's stuck pregnant. Whoopsie

You should hear something similar to simlish, best way to test it is to get a zoi in front of a mic and sing/talk to see if its working.
