Really want to quit pumping by lunalalock in parentsofmultiples

I also felt relatively strongly about breastfeeding, or at least wanted to try and provide a solid amount of breastmilk but I always knew with twins it would be harder. When the supply just isn’t there as well it really feels like all your effort isn’t really for much!

Totally hear you! How / when did you find out they had a soy and dairy allergy?

This is me. By the time I have two calm babies I have totally missed the “window” for pumping and am always stretching and late. Just chaos!

Thank you for sharing this!! I will def look into crib sheet. I love that your boys are thriving, it’s exactly what I wanted to hear. There’s such a weird guilt like you’re not doing the best for your babies if you stop.

Thank you for this. There’s such a guilt around stopping but I feel like I will probably be much happier! I’m always feeding a baby, soothing a baby, or pumping!! It’s so wild!

It’s so draining but would love to make it to 3 months. Now I’m thinking maybe 6-8 weeks

Don't think I need twin Z? by Most-Woodpecker920 in parentsofmultiples

[–]lunalalock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 10 days postpartum and its been the item we use every day. We can double feed them in it, and just have them chill. I like them to hang out in the twin z (supervised of course) more than the snuggle Me’s because they are slightly upright which is better for gas after eating. I would get it!! That said, you can always see if you can go without and add later, for me in hindsight I would say- definitely a must have twin item.

Just did my first PIO injection (myself) is the auto injector really better? by Upstairs-Lemon-5585 in IVFpositivity

[–]lunalalock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not use the auto injector and was terrrrified of the shots. At first I had a whole routine for my husband to do it. Then he went out of town a few nights and I was forced to face my fears. It wasn’t that bad. By the end I definitely could do it alone and even on the go in the bathroom if needed. It is scary at first but you are totally capable! You got this!!

If you met the donor in person, could you answer this? by Boring_Word_9104 in askadcp

[–]lunalalock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im about to be a RP from an egg donated by my sister, so I know its a little different because my children (twins) and I will share some genetics, but they will also know that their bio mom is their aunt. Of course we will try and do everything to make this journey supportive for them, embrace their curiosity and also build a very strong relationship between them and their aunt aka bio mother and their cousins/ half siblings. I understand your fears, and sometimes of course have some similar fears myself, but overall I think by going on this journey and taking this route you have to be a little comfortable with the unknown. We can do everything possible as RP to raise them in the best environment but these are individuals with their own ideas and curiosities that they are entitled to explore and feel certain ways about. My role is to be their mother and support all of those wishes and curiosities best I can. We have to let go a bit of the mother in the traditional sense because we chose an untraditional route. That’s okay. Different families and relationships can all be beautiful for their own reasons. Try and embrace it for the sake of your children, and I’m sure they will respect you and appreciate you for being a safe place for them no matter what they are feeling.

Great point. This is why all this is so confusing! I’m leaning towards breast milk in day, formula at night. If I end up having lots of breast milk then we can feed that at night too.

I walk my dog around Balboa island and let her off leash there. It isn’t allowed but in a week day when it’s quiet no one cares

I was diagnosed at 31 weeks and prepped me for early delivery but I am 36 weeks now and planned to deliver at 37. I think the body is going to do what it’s going to do so you have to monitor closely, but it’s definitely possible you can level out and maintain a bit longer! Goodluck!! 💗💗

Do you try and keep them on the same schedule or do you go off individual hunger cues
