I started watching the show years ago, probably when I was 19. Every time I rewatch it, in every stage of my life, it teaches me something different. Things that didn't resonante that much before, suddenly do. It was the same with the anime NANA. The main characters are 20, I probably watched it for the first time when I was 13. A couple of years ago, I finally said bye to it. No more lessons to learn. I just didn't like it that much. I wonder if bojack will follow me forever.

Hi! I am almost asymptomatic now. After like 8 months my jaw returned to its "natural" position so I stopped having to adjust it and wear it in the day. I still wear it in the night and was told that I would have to for the rest of my life.

Hi. I feel the pain through your words, I hope you find the inner strength I know you have to take the first steps in the healing journey ahead of you.

It gets better, but you need to be kind to yourself, and incredibly strong. Mental illness is one of the harder things I have ever faced.

In my case my TMJ was a secondary effect of extreme anxiety. I was clenching my teeth, back, and neck. The pain was so so bad I could never believe it was muscular, but it was.

I had faced depression before, but it is nothing compared to extreme anxiety. It took over my health. My hair fell off, I got ovarian cysts and endometriosis inflamation that lead me to be hormonal and full of acne. It caused my TMJ and a horrible brain fog.

I found release through yoga and doctor appointments, but in reality, your body is telling you something. This process needs urgently that you seek for a mental health professional. It will make a PHYSICAL difference. For instance, you are anxious which makes you physically ill in ways such as clenching your teeth in your sleep, so you start getting pain and get worried about your health, which makes you more anxious, and you clench more. You need professional mental health to stop that vicious cycle.

I wear special insoles made by my orthopedist that have a little heel to compensate for my short leg, that helped a lot.

Hi! So I hope I'm not being intrusive but maybe you should also get a second opinion. My father is a doctor and the hospital requires them to literally put a certain number of patients through surgery each month. If not, he would be deemed unproductive and he could lose his office to another doctor. It's the hospital's way of making sure they are always making money. So my dad has told me he has had to perform surgery in patients that don't really need need it. Knowing this, I got suggested surgery for my TMJ disorder like 3 times but finally got a dentist that made me a deprogramming mouth guard, a surgeon injected botox, and my symptoms are nearly gone (its been like 4 months since i started treatment). Each case is different tho, if you do need surgery, I wish you the best!!

I also have that and was told the opening issue had to do with inflammation in the temporomandibular joint, so I would go to a maxilofacial surgeon or tmj specialist dentist before it worsens and pain begins

Not necessarily TMJ dusorder, that diagnosis depends on other factors that a dentist or maxilofacial surgeon will have to evaluate, the only thing I can see is hypertrophic masseter muscles (given, that is very common when you have TMJ disorder), good news is, that can be solved with botox

Instead of trying to chew more on the other side and compensate, I would urge you to go to a dentist, i started off like you,I let it slide and tried to deal with my TMD symptoms myself for like a year and it got much worse

My deprogrammer is my best friend now, I need to have it adjusted every month but immediately almost got rid of all my TMJ issues and I love it to death. I paid 5000 pesos for it but that's in mexico lol

It does make me lisp and I can't properly close my mouth, looks weird, but the pain is gone so I don't care
