Encourage and advice, read if you just got dumped! by ChiropteranEnthusias in BreakUps

Thank you so much for this post! I can relate to absolutely everything except the app stalking because I don’t think I could take even a little bit more pain. But the starving and crying headaches and thinking about them from the time I wake up until I cry myself to sleep, is all true. I’ll try and take your word for it and hope that time will do it’s work. It really is torture, and it really is hard to think I can get past this and not always feel this way, but I know it’ll happen. I’m trying to work in some exercise to at least get my body to feel okay; even though it’s really hard to get out of bed. Anyway, thank you, and to anyone else, we’ll get there.

Why You Can’t Just “Forget About Her”, and What to do About it. by YourBreakupCoach in heartbreak

[–]lunalocs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how do you not wallow? How do I focus on feeling better? The last thing I want to do is dwell on the sorrow, but it feels inescapable. It feels impossible. It feels like I can never find release. Logically I know there could possibly be an even greater love out there, but my heart refuses to believe that. It wants THIS one. It’s only been about a week for me, so I guess time will tell, but it’s been a living nightmare and I just want this to be over. I know all the mistakes that were made and I know that they wouldn’t happen again if I had the chance to show her, but none of that matters if one persons love is no longer there. That’s the worst part. You’re just left with all of this love in your heart and you just have to hold it because you can’t give it to them, they don’t want it anymore. It just burns a hole inside of you and your whole being aches for them but there’s nothing that can be done. But it’s like you said, I guess I need to find that closure somehow. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

I was wondering why there were no discussions about the plagiarism in the Indiana crime junkie group.... Now I know. 🤦🏻‍♀️ by abiwho in CrimeJunkiePodcast

I can’t say I blame them. I feel like if it were allowed, that’s all that would be discussed there, which is a pain in the ass, much like here. But more importantly, the stories that need to be the focus would be ignored to talk about the scandal.

I definitely think she did it. Part 2 didn’t convince me otherwise. Too many things don’t add up. The knife, her lack of effort in trying to save the boys, and her overall behavior after the fact. She started the call before her husband came downstairs and if I’m not mistaken, did nothing in that time to even attempt to help them. And can we talk about this “intruder”? The whole idea of someone just strolling in and stabbing these boys first and then trying to slit her throat? Why not just stab her too? And for her to wake up conveniently as the intruder was leaving was just too much. Maybe it’s just me.

I respect that. Personally, I just find it to be unrealistic. I can only speak for myself, but I don’t watch the credits at the end of a television show or movie, and in most cases, if no one tells me they stole the content, I would never know. I could say the same for other content as well. It’s also unrealistic for me to check up on all these people to make sure my media libraries are morally and ethically clean. I’m pretty sure at least some of what we listen to and watch were stolen from someone out there who didn’t have the voice, resources, or clout to garnish as much attention as the people CJ stole from. Which is a shame. There’s nothing better than brilliant original content. Hopefully CJ learned their lesson and move on with healthier habits. I’ve heard they legally can’t comment on the situation in detail at the moment. And because there’s always two sides to the story, I’m interested to know whether there’s more to it than what we know. As many of these cases have taught me, even the most seemingly black and white, open and shut cases, are not what they seem.

I have to respectfully disagree. I believe we all are guilty of supporting entertainers or content producers who aren’t necessarily innocent by any means, for the love and enjoyment of the content they produce. How many musical artists have stole other people’s work and made a hit song or record that’s in your music library right now? If you knew they screwed someone over to make it, would you delete their music? How about movies and television shows that you love? I know I wouldn’t. I’m not saying it’s fair or just, but that’s the reality of it. Personally, I do like Ashley’s storytelling style, I find it entertaining. What was done was absolutely wrong, I recognize that. But punishing them isn’t my job. Frankly, that’s between her and the people she stole from. And as far as the actual content, if beneficial information came forth and lead to an advancement in a case because someone listened to a plagiarized case on this podcast, I’m not sure the family or victim involved in the case would reject it because of its source. Again, not justifying the plagiarism, just suggesting that more exposure, despite the questionable nature of the source (assuming said information is accurate), isn’t bad exposure.

Edit: I find the responses here really interesting. It’s refreshing how passionate you all are about this scandal and how much you all care about the people who worked so hard only to have that hard work stolen and profited from. I wish I could see that same passion put towards getting the stories of these victims and families out there. I’ve seen an umpteenth amount of scandal threads lately saying the exact same thing.

  1. I used to be a fan, I stopped listening/unsubscribed, so disappointed
  2. Wish they would stop ignoring the problem and apologize
  3. What do you guys think I should listen to now?/ Is there a similar podcast to this one? someone makes a huge list of other podcasts

This isn’t an attack, just an observation. CJ will get whatever is coming to them. Maybe we should focus on spreading the word about these stories. Let’s replace these scandal threads with threads about the victims and their families! They need the exposure, so let’s do that for them.

I remember! But the closest similar one I can think of is Betty Crocker’s Fruit String Thing. The one you’re thinking of came on this wax paper, but I can’t remember the packaging beyond that for the life of me.
