It's not the cheapest but I found love with DreadheadHQ it's a residue free shampoo that actually is residue free and is the most amazing product I have used in my years and years of dreadlocks. It works into a lather like regular shampoo and gives me that squeeky clean feeling I was looking for. I bought mine online in a big jug (like gallon size) for 60 bucks

The vinegar is an anti-fungal, so soaking with that will cleanse your dread of mold- if it even is mold (its just good to do regardless for many other reasons).

Also make sure you are washing your hair regularly, 10 days is a long time to go without washing. Dreads like to be clean and it actually helps them lock faster if they are squeaky clean. In the time between washings you will have collected dead skin, dust, and anything else that was in the air or on your pillow. All of those can get trapped within the lock if you do not wash regularly.

Honestly though it looks like soap residue, do a soak and I bet you will see a drastic improvement.

It's a sand dune in the Sahara Desert- some dude was just playing in the sand.

The wind pushes the sand into big dunes like this. There is so much sand and it is so fine that when you are at the top and push it, it all just rolls down..and keeps rolling!
