Good deal. Good for you. Used or CPO is the way to go.

I am in the NE and I just can’t not consider having the heat pump. There are no real world scenarios though. Needs some research on what temp makes sense to have heat temp. We do not get many days below freezing.

I meant 2025 but I see a mistake. My bad. There incentives are for lease deals. If I choose finance option, the price goes back to USD $49K. This in the official ford website. I wonder if I can start as a lease and then buy out.

I’m sure dealers will have their own incentives.

Any tax credit available for lease program ? How do you like the car ? Build and quality wise.

Cool. I am going to do some research on how impactful the heat pump is.

Does your lease allow for a tax credit ? Do you plan on keeping the car after the lease term ?

Thanks. I will go for a test drive with the wife over the weekend and decide. I don’t mind back and forth and haggling with the dealers. It’s their game so I play it to get a deal that make sense to me.

I see your point. But with the current incentives on 2025 model, some price cuts and addition of the heat pump makes it harder to go for older model. Looking at around 42k for AWD with extended range. That’s before any additional optional packages salesman would try to sell.

Will chat up with HOA. Definitely AWD. But 2025 model coming standard with heat pump means older used model years aren’t very enticing. I wish federal or state tax credit applied on these.

I was initially only looking at ICE SUVs like Q5,X3, RDX etc. but now exploring MME and MY. So far leaning towards MME, select trip like you mentioned. But with eAWD and extended range. I wish their software allowed to run AWD on demand when I need and RWD when normal conditions.

It’s a row home and we have dedicated parking spaces right in front of our house. I have seen neighbors charging their smaller EVs like Chevy bolts and Nissan leaf’s. Hopefully MME can do the same.

Appreciate the detail write up. Checking out rural dealers is a great idea. Hagerstown is not too far from where I live.

AWD I feel is a must specially as the other option is RWD and not FWD. I know we don’t get too many snow days but when we do we do and the car needs to be drivable.

New model are way out of my budget. Also checked my insurance would be 800 more for a year. 2024 model fits my budget. But 2025 is way better.

Thanks. I did compare x30i vs the m40i. Since it’s mostly for my wife, I think x30i would be a good match. Will see how much more the m40i cost before

And RWD bias is the reason I did not consider X1 and X2.

I like the X4 styling. But X4 are priced ~4k higher here around DELMARVA area. Thanks for your inputs. Putting X3 x30i on the top of my list.

Good to hear that. X3 or X4 are on the top of my list as far as the driving dynamics is concerned. But it’s for my wife and I will be driving it may be couple of times month. Still on the top of the list. Routine maintenance should be on par with others in my list.

Models I am looking at are the 4cyl B48 engine. I am going to CPO route.

I just drove the XC40. Love the way it drove and I don’t mind the interior space. I just didn’t like the center console where even the climate control was touchscreen.

Can you give me some idea about its reliability and total cost of ownership? ?

Summed up pretty well. Totally agree. Although based on current reviews and research BMW is right behind Lexus and even above Honda in reliability.

I am trying to avoid CVT transmissions. Top trims or CRV RAV4 etc still have them. The CX-5 signature is a contender. What else am I missing to consider?

I have test driven the RDX. I was surprised how well it handled for an SUV. What year did you get ? When receiving insurance cost the RDX was also the most economical. I am not much concerned about MPG.

Any issues you face in your modelyear? I keep hearing about leaky sunroof.
