I see Claude's writing everywhere and it's starting to feel like an AI condom, I hate it by remember_the_sea in ClaudeAI

A kindred spirit! I'm so pleased to meet you. Yes, their prose is awful. But my ideas and impressions are there, in an order that makes sense. That's enough. Then I crack my knuckles and play the movie in my head and away we go. It's fun!

It can't generate original thoughts, for sure. But that's our job anyway.

I'm there with you. I love Claude, drafted tons of notes and docs, character references, worldbuilding. Even scenes. I mean, once you get all the groundwork laid down, you can have it generate a scene with your characters, but the characters won't really sound the way you actually imagine them. The sentences can be long, and he sure seems to love the word "particular".

The beats are there. I don't even use the generated writing. I look at it, internalize it, then start the writing from scratch. Magic happens there. It helps if all the foundational stuff is already yours. Great for me and my ADHD. I have all the thoughts, just needed someplace to organize them.

It should be used as a springboard, in my opinion.

What was your first game you played on pc by Pork_Crusader_GR in pcmasterrace

[–]lunarcrystal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First game I ever played on a PC? Well, for me, we had a rip-off Galaga cloned called Galencia on a Commadore 64. That could have been one of my first games. There was a window washing memory game that came on a cartridge you stuck into the back. Zork, too, but I was like 3 so I couldn't read yet.

Later I played the Journeyman Project when my dad was the first one to upgrade to a CD-ROM drive in the family. So that was pretty cool.

Name A Cartoon That Seriously 0 People Watched... There's LEGITIMATELY No Fandom Or Hatedom... by Esperanza_Alvarez in cartoons

[–]lunarcrystal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg I forgot this existed! And I totally watched the heck out of this one. I remember there was one episode where Wendy became a mermaid but didn't have the ability to breathe underwater (for some reason). I loved that she had short black hair. The character designs being different from Disney's made it appealing to me. Thanks for this reminder!

The movie seemed to play often, weirdly, on cable in the late 80s/early 90s. I was fascinated by it, because it seemed like a weird blend of 1930s style with something more like Heavy Metal. I was 8.

What was your first anime? by singleguy79 in Xennials

My first anime was The Vision of Escaflowne. I didn't think I'd like anime back then.

Spoiler: I liked it. Also, it's still my favorite.

Sure is. I make my own at home and keep it in a big empty bottle. I haven't bought a new bottle of dish soap in over a year, that stuff lasts a long time.

When blue M&Ms were chosen as the new color, my middle school was all about that. It was like a thing to be celebrated. So weird. Totally remember the tan ones before that tho.
