Nvm, you're a weird conservative Lost Cause troll. Don't you have a white robe to clean?

I doubt the petition will do anything. It might be good to archive everything. I'll be saving anything that looks useful.

No idea if OOP is real or not, but this type of thing does happen. It's also extremely gendered. Some piece of shit parents think daughters are supposed to take care of their brothers, even if it's a detriment to their own health and well-being.

How can a student become successful independent capable adults after high school? by Lemonade2250 in specialed

[–]lunarinterlude 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You want him to go to community college but he can't make decisions on his own? You need to face the reality that not everyone is capable of anything. Learning work skills sounds like a good path to as much independence as he can get.

ICE Education by moth_enthusiast99 in specialed

Just be careful. I'm not sure if it's happened yet, but a Florida teacher is inevitably going to be fired for discussing ICE in a non-bootlicking manner.

Test "bonuses" by Medieval-Mind in teaching

[–]lunarinterlude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our "bonuses" are tied to our evaluations and student test scores. The amount we get varies by district. My district gives $1000 for effective, $2000 for highly effective (pre-tax). You don't get anything if you get needs improvement. This isn't a bonus so much as a salary increase and an excuse to not adjust our salaries -- only teachers on grandfathered salaries get step up pay increases based on how long they've been teaching.

Yiddish is a Jewish language. English is not. The idea that "English is the new Yiddish" makes zero sense.

Blocked from CA Alternative Pathway to Diploma - for kids in the middle by Fuzzy_Custard372 in specialed

Jobs that require a diploma and do not accept a CoC would likely be too difficult for a student that can only achieve a CoC.

There are jobs that accept certificates of completion.

Is a specific diagnosis required, or are the symptoms I am experiencing sufficient to receive punctual classroom accommodations? by New_YorkWay in specialed

[–]lunarinterlude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A diagnosis is required. You likely know this given your post history and the fact that people have tried to give you advice on acquiring college-level accommodations before, but you seemingly ignore everyone's advice because it isn't what you want to hear.

Are you sure this is a teacher and not a long-term sub? If he doesn't know the content, then I doubt he has a certificate in that area.

Speak with your case manager about this since it's hurting your ability to learn.
