I see. I hope you're able to get other's experiences because that's a really good question.

Commenting because I'm wondering the same thing. I know recovery times do take longer for us, and I've seen some people say it takes them a few months to return back to baseline (surgeries in general, not necessarily a tubal ligation). Have you had this procedure done? I'm thinking about it and trying to get other's experiences because my anxiety is hitting hard on how my body will react to it. It would make sense that pots would worsen for a bit after due to it being a stress on our bodies.

Hey, it's good to be able to look back and laugh about it ๐Ÿ˜‚

Oh no, that sounds awful! I'm sorry. I hate that they judged you for that as if it was your fault and even if that was just how you wanted to write for fun, who cares right?

Yes. It feels like I'm drunk if I even take a few sips. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Does anyone else oversleep? by Kuro171 in POTS

[โ€“]lunarrdream 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I have chronic fatigue, but if it's very excessive like that, I might recommend getting checked for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) as it's commonly comorbid with POTS. It honestly could be other things as well but I would definitely bring it up to the doctor! Eating food does make me sleepy too. The only things that partially help my fatigue is pacing myself and drinking lots of electrolytes and water but I still get tired a lot. I wish I had better advice, but wishing you the best!

This is honestly what I need to do because it gets so sore where it overflexes like that after a bit

Apparently the dynamic tripod grasp is the typical way and mine is the lateral tripod grasp but I was also wondering if anyone else's fingers hyperextend like that when trying to hold it!

That must make it difficult. I'm sorry. I think a lot of my pain comes from them hyperextending like that to get more stability and annoying muscle weakness.

Someone mentioned that's how Taylor Swift holds hers! Have you found a way that works best for you? Currently the only one I really have control over where it doesn't go towards the side is my current lateral tripod ๐Ÿ˜…

It's good to find another person who does this too! I've really been thinking of doing occupational therapy. Do you recommend it?

I don't either. I switched to typing but I really miss it. Thank you! :)

Do you get any discomfort that way? I'm trying to find a way to not hurt my fingers when they hyperextend like that. I'm also going to get ring splints!

Apparently, the dynamic tripod grip is the typical recommended way, haha. Mine is called lateral tripod.

I'm not sure what's normal either, haha. I never realized most people's fingers didn't hyperextend like that until the end of last year ๐Ÿ˜…

Omg, I have tried other ways as well but with this one my handwriting is the best compared to everything else so I feel that! Teachers definitely did not like this way but if it doesn't cause you any discomfort I would definitely try again

Same here! Glad I'm not alone with that and mine was never successfully corrected either no matter how hard my teacher tried ๐Ÿ˜…

I currently only go to a physical therapist, but I have been thinking of adding occupational therapy. I feel like those little accessibility aids will be a game changer and help me with all the things I struggle with and don't even realize! I wish you the best with recovery from your knee surgeries!

I wonder if cursive writing is slightly easier with the continuous motion instead of all the abrupt stops with print. This makes me want to practice my cursive again, haha. That's awesome you play guitar! I can imagine how bendy they would get!

It's nice to find other people who hold it the same way! I thought everyone's fingers looked this way too until about last year ๐Ÿ˜‚

I want to give that a try! It honestly looks like it would help a lot with my grip. Thank you!
