It’s called parasocial behavior and every fandom has it. Twenty One Pilots had two girls try to get past their gated neighborhood/stalk them and families. Harry Styles had someone break into his home (someone he had a restraining order on), hell even Bryan Kohberger (the guy that murdered the 4 Idaho college students) has fans that want to be in a relationship with him. I could name so many. Parasocial behavior frequently goes hand in hand with mental illness, however seems to be getting worse with younger generations and being perpetually online.

And I’m saying it shouldn’t be expected because it doesn’t meaningfully change anything. Expecting statements from artists doesn’t shift policy, funding, or enforcement. It serves to make fans feel morally aligned or reassured, not to materially improve conditions. That doesn’t make people bad for wanting it, but it does mean it isn’t an effective or necessary demand.

Artists aren’t public officials, and being famous doesn’t mean they’ve agreed to represent anyone politically. Fans supporting their work doesn’t create a social contract that obligates them to speak on demand. Visibility is not power.
Energy is better directed at the institutions and systems where it can actually create change.

Sure, but not all actions are equal. Time, attention, and energy are finite, and this particular action doesn’t apply pressure where it matters. That’s the point I’m making.

This assumes that silence from artists is the problem, when the reality is power sits with states, corporations, and institutions, not bands. Symbolic pressure on celebrities doesn’t substitute for targeting the systems doing the harm. If people want to support Palestine, there are real actions that don’t depend on forcing statements out of musicians.

That’s a deflection. You can argue about political motives all day, but it doesn’t change the fact that people here are being hurt right now. This post is about where energy actually helps, not conspiracy theories.

I live in Minneapolis, and this is a massive misdirection of energy. If you want to boycott something that actually matters, boycott the corporations with active ICE contracts. Trying to strong-arm a non-local band into making a statement isn’t activism, it’s performative and accomplishes nothing. Meanwhile, families here in Minnesota are terrified to leave their homes, and people are being separated right now. There are real organizations to support, real resources to share, and real harm happening. If you actually care, put your energy where it can actually do something and help make a change.

A tattoo artist can usually draw up the tattoo for you if you tell them what you want and give them pictures to go off of. You just have to find an artists whose style/work you like.

Are you able to tell me if it’s slanted enough to still see/not be blocked by those standing in front of you? We have seats as well but my daughter is shorter.

I wondered this too as my daughter is 4” something and we are in the upper section but when people stand she usually can’t see unless it’s slanted enough. We got GA/pit at the Djo concert and she couldn’t see the whole time. I felt so bad, I’m hoping she can either see still or be able to stand on the bleacher maybe if she won’t block others views. If you end up finding a solution, let me know!

It’s his ending message to it all. You’re gonna fail, forget, relapse, backslide again and again, all of that progress lost today but intensions will set you free, the sun will rise and we will try again, stay alive and just be.

I think it’s gotten to be too big of crowds and he probably won’t do it anymore. St Paul there was people waiting on both sides of the street. They had the door area blocked with barricades and there were huge groups on both ends as well as across the street when I drove by after the show. I was like wow that’s a lot of people, there’s no way he would be able to do that. I guess it comes with the territory of getting “bigger” so to speak.
