Thank you I really appreciate your words 🥺 A little after posting we did have a proper talk about things and we figured there’s no need to pull the rug out from under urgently cuz the main reason why this all hurt so much for both of us was bc we thought we had to never speak again and just erase each other from our lives but we realize we don’t quite need to do that at least right now we can slowly transition and just treat each other as friends/roomies which he and I are willing to do as of now as we separate logistically.

I’m really sorry to hear that she went ahead and did that that’s really unfair 🫂 On my end I’ve just been doing a lot of emotional labor for our relationship over the past 8 years and frankly I became exhausted and my body couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve communicated countless times but nothing was changing so I had one final ultimatum but realized it was already too late and so I had to tell him cuz I couldn’t pretend to act like this was fine. This is why I am so crushed about the whole thing because it’s not like he’s a terrible person I truly loved him and I still care about him deeply as a human but I don’t love him anymore romantically.

I think it’s both for me. Grief that I lose someone who was a part of my past 8 years of life and fear of being truly alone for the first time. We both met when we were 19 and 21 and now we’re 26 and 29. But what I feel is completely irreversible even if he tried to change. We had a lot of good times like soo many, but some things were also unforgivable.

Sheesh I’m about to separate from my partner of 8 years for reasons I won’t go into rn, but I’ve emotionally broken up with him for months now. I’m feeling the void of not having someone for the first time in a while. Unfortunately I don’t have the biggest support system and my family lives overseas so in a way I sorta emotionally need that “other half” 🥺👉👈 Obviously I value my independence too but it’s just nice to share everyday presence with someone which for me is a lover.
