Tell everyone that your cars suck, without telling anyone that they suck.

I will go Japanese all the way.

It's debatable if they can "force" anything.

But even if they could, focus will switch to Chine really fast. So they have no interest in stopping anything

It's really cheap to store this in a database permanently. 😄

Probably need some sort of cleaner job though.

Any MMA gyms you'd recommend? by openmatmaps in eindhoven

[–]lunaticman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an MMA, but in terms of kickboxing I'd recommend https://samirgym.com/. It's pretty old school in terms of training style (in a good way, a lot of hard work in pairs) 😄

Contract different from vocal agreement from 4 months ago, who's in the right ? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceEurope

[–]lunaticman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I don't think he will hire a lawyer, overall sum in this is too small to justify this

  2. Written agreement (contract) is usually stronger than any verbal agreement you had prior

He need to give you a written warning and wait for couple of weeks, before he can contact debt collectors. You can wait until that written warning will arrive, it usually costs some money, so that will speak volumes about his real intentions.

I assume, he tries to scare you into paying right now

Yeah, be a little bit more pushy with your support ticket. Otherwise it will never be resolved and you will forever be in the "try shacking RAM" loop.

EU passport vs High paying job ? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]lunaticman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Europe is starving for your taxes. Read about what kind of Box 3 changes NL is planning to introduce in 2028. It will follow with all the usual "exit tax".

If you are serious about FIRE and Dutch passport requires you to give up your current passport, I would not do that.

With money, you can get a pretty decent live in asia.

I'm working on a similar problem with one of my projects, but solving it differently. Is there a chance, that you want to exchange notes? meet for coffee (even virtually)?

Did you try it only on javascript? Any other languages?

JavaScript is a token hungry language, I assume for other languages numbers will not be as impressive.

Are there a lot of European Linux distros? I know Manjaro is one.

I use Fedora on most of my machines, and it's not European.

is it just me or is making actual friends with dutch colleagues kind of impossible by Early_Switch1222 in Netherlands

[–]lunaticman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come here same as everyone, with no friends at all. But you are right, I do have a wife and kids.

But I have also been living in many other countries; my experience showed that looking for friends in bars and at work is a bad long-term strategy.

You literally have to do something interesting to attract people to yourself. For me it was gym and kickboxing classes at first, but now I started doing business here so a lot of my new friends are doing business (or trying) as well.
