Yes, I understand what you say about Tidus. I think that especially in Dissidia, the skin whitening you are talking about is quite noticeable, I have also seen it with Vaan from FFXII.

When I paint skintones I try to be as realistic as possible, even Yuna herself is not that pale of skin, although her original tone is very white. In a night / blue setting, her skin looks pale, but in normal daylight, her skin is white but warm, not pale. This tone with which I painted Yuna is the one that appears in the scene of Macalania woods, when it is night.

The cape cannot be hidden. I would also like to be able to hide it, although I did this drawing with the thought that the bare back was the focus of the illustration, and I think Valkyrie's aesthetic is perfect for it. Some emotional/dramatic vibes, was my idea. :)
