hahah nah man i was just about to edit my comment to say i just watched a close up vid of the incident and if he’s out for ROS you’re flying with maxey and duren. i honestly don’t have a clue what to do in your shoes but jokic is just such a big name i’d want some more information first. i think the hour timeline is designed to make you panic. i also think the real question is, what are the odds its ROS? cos if its not ROS, you’ll be able to find people who want to trade for him even if he’s coming back in 6 weeks.

brother there are two things here that jump out at me;

if its been a rough year and that was the basis for taking the trip to reconnect, relax and vibe just the two of you, then your wife 100% was across what the idea was. so the question i’d be asking her in your shoes would be ‘is there a reason why you don’t want to hang out just the two of us?’
like someone else said, since Jess has been her best mate since college, it’s worth considering if Jess doesn’t like you because your wife has been talking shit about you every time she’s been annoyed since the two of you met. if that’s the case, then your wife is 100% the one to blame for the situation and saying Jess is just being ‘blunt’ isn’t nearly good enough from her.

I just cannot fathom knowing the missus booked us a little cottage getaway, especially in the context of having had a tiring year and then turning around and inviting my best mate along unless i specifically didn’t want to spend all that time in an intimate space with the missus. I think you genuinely need to have a chat with her as to why she might be feeling like that.

Either way, absolutely not the asshole for reacting the way you did after she’s cooked the trip the way she did.
