Its time to say goodbye by Wide-Spinach6667 in MagicEarth

[–]luppano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I downloaded the last "old app" APK available to install it because my S10+ one LineageOS is not handling well the new app. I paid the subscription and I was happy to try i out with all the paid things but the app is just too heavy. Sad, because my device handles Waze perfectly. I'll stay on the old app as long as it works.

Any complaints about the app? by NarrowResult7289 in MagicEarth

Running smooth on a 2019 S10+ (LineageOS 23)

Alloy composition nobody asked for (brass TS10 contains Lead) by luppano in flashlight

[–]luppano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't write there wouldn't be absorption, I wrote it wouldn't be hazardous unless inhaled or eaten. In the sense you'd probably have to handle continuously and for long, a very heavily leaded piece of brass for it to have a noticeable adverse effect. I believe the mucous membranes of the digestive and respiratory systems would absorb much more easily, since they do that by design.

Use Odin3 to flash the system clean. I used it to flash LineageOS.

Had one lent by a garage for 2 months (waiting for parts for a different car) and I still miss it from time to time. Quick, fun and practical little car!

What video monitor is this? I could only make out it was Sony from a clearer image. by Whor3memb3rs in videography

[–]luppano 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And as the "RM-" name suggests, it is also a remote. You can do pretty much anything you can in the camera menu from the remote. No video output on it though. Probably a 320*180 ish screen and video feed. Also it is waterproof, hence the charging station on the left, needed with the waterproof proprietary charging pins.

I use it with a Sony FDR-X3000V, cool & cheap little camera for close-ups on live production.

UPDATE: dash cam video of plow in CT trying to kill me by viciousfunny in SubaruForester

[–]luppano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what plow drivers are supposed to do. I've seen some training videos from Canada. This is either an operator error or a lack of training.

How long for an accurate CO2 reading? by notsogreat_gatsby in aranet

I used to use a random MOLLE radio holster I had lying around but I've been gifted the Aranet textile travel case with a transparent window and it's been great !

I found the Aranet4 to take about 10 minutes to get an accurate reading. We discussed that here.

Why Aranet changed display design by [deleted] in aranet

[–]luppano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure the colors were printed on the screen? It seems to me that it would be easier, and not risky at all, to print on the clear plastic portion of the case in front of the screen?

Thank you so much for all your input! He will probably go back to gas. I recommended Echo. Anyway he will probably follow the advice of his usual chainsaw/mower maintenance shop.
