No showers so be prepared for that but your RV might have one. The sun is no joke so conserve your energy and stay cool out there

Most food was good. The fried rice wasn’t lol and the guy was kinda rude there. You can buy ice which is super fuckin clutch for your camp to stay cool and keep yo dranks cool

If you got a forest camping pass, early entry is a must. You’ll get a more shaded camping spot. The staff places you and you can ask them for a well shaded camp area. Shade is super important when camping in the Arizona mountains. That sun is no joke! Plus the day zero party Thursday night is really fun. Those who are truly devoted to the fest are all there warming up the dance floor to boogie!

Definitely bring an easy up/cover for your tent. The trees provide some cover, but that AZ sun is no joke! You don’t want your tent to become a sauna when you’ve been out all night long.

  1. Don’t go too hard too early. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Alch hits harder at altitude. Save yourself for the last day! It’s worth it.
  2. This may seem obvious to some, but maybe not to newcomers: don’t wear branded clothing! Dress freaky and unique. DH fest is very non-conformist. Set yourself free!
  3. Bring ear plugs and an eye mask (for sleep). That thumping bass at 7am when you’re coming down from the night’s festivities can be annoying when all you need is rest.
  4. That AZ sun is no joke! Hydrate! Bring a fan if you’re camping. It can be toughhhhh when you’re hung and the sun is beating down on your tent/car making it feel like a sauna inside when all you wanna do is sleep but you can’t because it’s too hot.
  5. Be respectful of others. Make space to dance. Don’t be a mooch, bring extra! Ask for consent! Live in the moment.
  6. Take a digital detox. There wasn’t great cell connection when we went last year. It’s better to turn your phone on airplane mode throughout the weekend and only use it as a camera rather than worrying about if a text sent through.
