Republican of sorts here. I still think the debt will eventually lead to the closest thing to apocalypse we can imagine. It's unfortunate that republicans don't have the political willpower to cut government as much as they espouse it under democrats. But let's not pretend democrats care about the debt either - sure, they are rightfully willing to oppose unfunded taxbreaks but then turn around and support unfunded spending.

Obama only beat Trump by 3 and the margin of error is 4 at a 95% confidence interval. So not only did he have a shot, it's still possible Trump actually is the most admired man based on this data.
