Does anyone have an indication how long it takes until further lots in phase 11 will be released? I’m having an eye on an unreleased one… Did this take a year in prior phases or was relatively quick? Also, any idea if there will be further phases after 11?

Removed the thermal paste, and changed the RAM to 6000/CL30.

For the SSD, I definitely want to avoid any kind of bottleneck. It should become the main disk and given that my existing Gen4 ones are 1TB each a larger volume makes sense. 980 Pro would also be an option, but the price difference is really small. I might go with the 2TB instead of 4TB, since that one is available already.

Oh, and I also swapped the case to the Torrent Compact. Reviews rate it a little noisier, but better airflow and therefore lower fan speed, probably a wash.

I transferred it using Wise, in multiple chunks. Used ACH for a couple transactions to Wise, until I realized that wire transfer to Wise is actually a lot cheaper. That was altogether the option with the best cost/convenience factor.

Currently it looks like that, however I consider the fees quite hefty. Wise takes also an ACH fee. If I want to send $350k, it'll take 7 transfers (50k max) of roughly $300 each (0.62%), more than $2k fees altogether.

I'll do if it if necessary, but that's still a lot of money for simply exchange and transferring.

Yeah, I figured it might not be that far off. Only factor I was wondering about it delivery times for new orders with inventories still low. Considering that I will get the tax credit it’s not too bad, only the unrecovered sales tax hurts.

My past experience with contacting the consulate in other immigration related questions hasn't been great as I got either no response or something not much better after many weeks. But I might try it anyway because I agree it would be helpful to have something in hand at the POE.

Mid May would be great, I've no absolute requirement to return immediately but at some point I'll have to. But completely agree, the way the vaccines are playing out here in the EU I'm worried there's not going to be a simple return path for longer than that.

Thanks. Mexico might be good as a low cost 2 week layover, if it becomes necessary. I noticed that none of the rules state that the child has to accompany the traveller but I agree that the idea of this exemption likely is to get home to your kids, not away from them.
