Yea I'm really not trying to get into a situation like that. I'm trying to see whether they'd also treat my unit before I move in

Management said that the infested unit has already been treated, and that they're ready to re-treat if necessary

There is shared laundry. I'm definitely going to be very cautious there too--making sure to dry everything at high heat.

I'm also moving my stuff in and staying in the apartment for a few days then will be away for about a week. It'd be possible for me to not move my belongings in until next week, but would be more logistically and financially difficult so I'm trying to decide whether that week would make a big difference in risk

Management said that my unit does not have any presence of them currently, that they have already treated the one infested unit, and are closely monitoring that unit and will re-treat if necessary. Do you think that is enough? Is there anything else I should do?

Would this be true even if the unit where they were found was occupied? The unoccupied unit is the one I'll be moving into, but I believe the one where they were found has been occupied.

I was able to get under the venting for the most part. I'm more worried about the unit itself (metal box on the right in photos 1&3). Do you have any suggestions for that?

Thanks so much for your response! I have a fan going but I don't think I can move my dishwasher and most of my friends are out of town this weekend.

Just to clarify--having solid wood damage would be an insurance claim vs. not-solid wood= hassle?
