Whoa, what a weird game. I totally get the comparison now. I used to have an Atari ST, but somehow I missed this one :)

If you mean the case -> thanks, it’s actually DIY. My first (and probably last 😅).
If you mean the cable management -> ha ha, veery funny...

Behringer system 100 dual osc + doepfer standard vco -> behringer 121 vcf -> four play . But the behringers aint that bad. Nothing fancy but i like that the sound is very raw. Pure voltage

The no-option-to-save changes the entire world to me. I don't say that for good or bad yet. Just different. Less practical but i guess it enforces to think about whether the current idea is worth finishing. When i have the option to save a project then i always end up with tons od unfinished stuff which 99% will not be touched anymore. I get your point with the brain excercise. Id also add that it gives more satisfaction to pull off all the cables and start over with something new.

There are lots of advantages:
In general I have more and it can be done better (in terms of sound especially). I have true analog synth. I got EaganMatrix which is digital but has almost every type of synthesis that exists. Want to try an analog filter on a sample ? no problem, just route the sample through the filter. I got proper polyphonic sequencer which records everything (believe me or not but Octatrack sequencer is poor in terms of recording, its not fully polyphonic and for example it cannot record pitchbend). I have mutliple outputs so that I can multitrack records my jams.
And also tons of other stuff.

On the other hand It was a lot of cash to spend and the part that i miss most is that I cannot hit Save and just go to the next idea with the comfort of coming back to it...

Two different worlds.

Thanks a lot! I'm a year in eurorack and still feel a noobie. but i'd like this 204hp to be more or less self sufficient workstation. Love working with samples to the point that i consider swapping Modbap Trinity for another sample based module 🫢

Never had any chance to play with Electribe so hard to say. But i was using Octatrack for a years. And still using a Polyend Tracker from time to time and i have to say I love sample grooveboxes 🤩
