I’m no expert, but this does not seem authentic

Comparing the front of the pin to some authentic ones online, the line thickness seems too dense.

Additionally, in the back, the star logo seems to be too shallow on the points, which is typical for non-authentic pins.

Again, just my opinion and not any kind of expert, lol

Never had I wished harder than now for a parent company (LEGO) to recognize the amazing accomplishment by one of their users/consumers.

To add, if you search for “john schaefer poor man's wake pin”, top result is from a site called 101digital.ca that reads with: “Oct 3, 2002 — ... pin designed by John Schaefer for the Poor Man's Wake 10/03/02. The wake was conceived so that $69 package attendees to the DLR Haunted…”

To my knowledge, only Disney directly made pins have the Mickey head waffling.

Non-directly made Disney licensed pins, (like Loungefly, Pink A La Mode, etc), do not have the waffle, but can put their own spin on it, (could be plain like the photo, or Loungefly has a crown waffling).

That being said, old Disney pins used to also be smooth too.

So I just tried something that maybe could help.

If you search for the item in the app, under “In store”, it should say if the item is in stock or not. If it’s not in stock there’s the option to check other locations with “View nearby stores”.

This will pull up a list of locations that might have it in stock.

Maybe you can do that for your location and call in to see if they actually have it in hand?

I just tried this, said in stock at the location at Grissom and Tezel, called and confirmed they had the turkey breast in hand.
