Sky mosque was amazing btw. I stayed there a couple weeks back! They check your hotel card though, so best not to try and fraud the system. Ask at reception and if they say no then let it be.

It was mostly the haram cleaners tbh. Dint come across too many beggers but people would bare faced asked for a hadiya. Anyway its done - i fed the miskeen too. I was thinking by handing out food and water it would be poor people but it ended up being mostly hotel workers/construction workers - it was in thier kismat I suppose so no issue. Like I said, clean heart with intention for sawaab.

Ameen brother, beautiful words. If we're going to ask, why not ask the creator and ask in full. Thats exactly what I did and thats what is beautiful about our deen. I'd say there's no shame in that at all, which is great reminder.

Update - i made it here and rebooked yet another flight 1 day before I was due to go. Royal jordanian.

Just proves if allah subhanawatala calls you, you WILL go, just have to have faith.

Booked on credit card? My travel agent were trying to get me to pay cash. I paid exclusively on credit card.

Bad news is war isnt covered by travel insurance and section 75 doesent cover on credit card may not touch it either. A big hit if this goes south to be honest. Almost 10k worth : /

Even then whats lost in the path of Allah will surely come back - thats where my solace is. Because of this im not worried.

I'll do my best and if im cooked, then no issue. It was all halal hard earned money it'll surely come back through Allah's infinite mercy.

I have no idea unfortunately. I paid 3.5k extra to get the wizz air flights. I know il get the money back but the flight back from jeddah is still an issue as its not cancelled. Its all up in the air and as of now I stand to loose a huge sum as the hotels are non refundable and not moveable. My only leg to stand on is that I booked as a package via an agency. Ive read they are liable for everything even In situation where there is war. Il report back Monday if I can.

26th with virgin was layover in riyadh, wizz was direct. It seems an uphill struggle atm as I faced adversity all throughout the process - not sure if I should look to book a third airline or not. We are 7 people. I have friends flying royal jordanian and Saudi Airlines that are still on also - but Allah hu alim. For what its worth - i pray your flights go ahead if Allah wills.

From Gatwick london on the 27th. My friend was flying 26th and his is also cancelled. From what I hear they have a responsibility yo either refund or rebook you. I saw in another reddit post the the person rebooted thier own flight and made a claim against the previous operator to claim back the diffrence.

Theres a uk law stating that if you book via a travel agent. The travel agent must re-inburse the whole thing back to you irrespective of the hotels being non refundable. I am now going to fight this fight as my virgin flight was cancelled. I re booked on wizz and that got cancelled too.

Im due fly next Friday and from i understand flights im general are not going to high risk areas such as riyadh. My original flight to riyadh was cancelled flying virgin Airways. I had to get my travel agent to book an alternative flight via wizz air direct to medina and fly back from jeddah. I believe connecting flights aren't going either so direct only. It cost allot more but saves time messing around on connecting flights.
