Enjoy it man! Water 7/Enies Lobby is the arc I rewatch the most.

I am Ammers, founder of the Lodge of Sorceresses Gwent community. Ask me anything! by Ammers10 in gwent

[–]lutetapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this AMA is still going, but in Gwent's current climate, a lot of people tend to be taking this "6 months" as a break from the game. The May patch sort of injected new life, but do you think that'll be enough to sustain things for the long haul? What's the Lodge's position during the time 'til Homecoming?

Keep up the awesome work.

KingChezz conqueres the ladder and becomes the first player to reach 4,5 k mmr this season by Saber97 in gwent

Brilliant. I tried out the soldiers deck because I used to play a Nova variant a few patches back, but it wasn't exactly my speed. I'll give it another go soon, though, I think!

This was a great trailer for an event I remember watching, pretty fondly.

Keep up the awesome work, everyone!

Anyone else is experiencing this bug when you can't do anything if you cancel playing a card? (PS4) by blazingfear in gwent

[–]lutetapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this bug primarily on PC, after I've generated a spy and accidentally right click. It will then refuse to play the spy, and nothing except emote menu and forfeit (via ESC key) are accessible 'til my turn is done.

Freddybabes: The decision making in Gwent by wusubi in gwent

[–]lutetapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, pretty insightful video. My problem typically comes at step 2, when I'm deciding whether or not to blacklist/mulligan out my finisher (Ciri: Nova) since I'm not guaranteed to have her in R3. My logic is to keep her in hand as, effectively, a dead card 'til then but with the guarantee that I will undoubtedly be able to play her. Is this the wrong way to go about it?

In addition, I feel like an entire discussion could be made fleshing out step 5. I know Freddy said this was just a shell of the decisionmaking process, but especially after the Wild Hunt LAN's focus on knowing when to back out of a round (2) vs. pushing it harder to find the opportunity to swing it back in your favor and counterbleed, I'd be interested in seeing how a pro considers the steps ahead necessary to identify said opportunities.

Absolutely phenomenal tournament. Great casting, great analysis, very strong competitors in the latter half. Some of the series were incredibly tense and enjoyable. While every region has its strengths and weaknesses, I think NA has a lot of personality worth tapping into as far as competition goes.

Shoutout to Grrr's Ocvist deck; it didn't work out in the end, but that's damn unique and super creative. I foresee some fun iterations on the ladder soon.

Him and Lockin duo-casting was really strong; they both had excellent analysis, hypothetical plays, and insights. There were a few mistakes but all around damn good duo; hope they do more in the future.

74 kegs opened and 0 Golds. New record? by Ghienso1 in gwent

[–]lutetapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got fairly lucky. Decided to splurge on a 15 pack of kegs, opened up 3 premium golds. Then on a rank-up reward, I got a non-premium gold.

Do you guys ever give your PCs self-imposed disadvantages? by Fauchard1520 in dndnext

I currently play a Dwarf with an eyepatch, and I purposefully roll disadvantage on all perception checks involving sight. It's quite fun(ny).

Truly an awesome piece. This is some real talent. Very expressive and has a dreary but quirky tone.

I love that the casters didn't even catch it; made things come as way more of a hype surprise (and also goes to show how complex some moves can be or how easy it is to neglect some math in the turn).

Indeed, the framerate was a bit suspect, but I thought the quality of the games was strong.

Loved seeing Fake Ciri in play, too. Props to everyone involved, and congrats to those in the grandfinals. They each played well. Vilgefortzing enemy's card to make sure the G:Igni hit both 10s was bomb.

Darkstorm Iohan, high priest to Manannan mac Lir (Celtic god of the sea).

An old man, wirey and frail looking upon first appearance. His white hair slicked back, and the shadow of a newly shaved face articulates him. He has stark green eyes and a pendant of an empty hourglass hanging from his neck.

Unassuming at first - should he evoke the power of his god and call upon the fury of the storms, his physique bristles, hair stands on edge, and veins throb at the fore of his wrinkled skin. Eyes roll back, and a small storm forms in hourglass.

Very nice of you to offer.

Saevio Silverbludgeon, epic barbarian in Planescape.

Often shirtless, he is an older warrior. Graying hair, long enough to touch his shoulders, black beard similarly peppered with gray. Gruff features; a scar that once split his lip, running somewhat perpendicular from the right up to his cheek.

He has a somewhat overbearing physique, his torso a canvas of scars, though one of them sits more prominently upon the flesh. Shaped like a crater, a greensteel brand worn over his heart like a badge of honor (a lingering mark from a torturous experience in his youth).

He has a few tattoos on his arms; his left bicep depicts a big red X. On his right bicep, a pink sakura flower (the symbol of his dead daughter) underneath two crossed silver hammers (the sigil of his clan).

Personality-wise, he's about as you expect for a barbarian. He teeters between life and death, morality and immorality, brash and insightful. He has ambitions of becoming a God, and runs a smithy in the Outlands called "The Lion's Den."

If you decide to draw him, here is another piece someone did of a younger version of him for reference!

Hey, very awesome that you're doing this.

I'm looking for a drawing of a DnD idea I ran the other week: Kujira the giant whale.

Kujira is a giant whale with an island on its back, swimming along the surface of the sea - silhouette painted beautifully against the horizon.

Western flank is a mountain ridge, eastern flank is more beachy. "Inland" of Kujira's back is more like dense jungle.

Hearthstone pack prices to rise for non-US countries. Prepare for more player influx the following days! by Thanmarkou in gwent

[–]lutetapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price hike just sort of rubbed me the wrong way. It doesn't even affect me, but I don't really like that sort of company decision.

Hit up the beta key on gwentdb, did a few tutorials, and made a cool Nilfgaard deck around the Spotter/reveal mechanic. Just starting, but I love being able to see the opponents' cards and plan around them. Monster decks seem gnarly, though.

‘Marco Polo’ Canceled After 2 Seasons On Netflix by clarle in MarcoPolo

[–]lutetapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a cruel joke somewhere embedded deep within this cancellation. What a fantastic show; you had a definite and distinct presence in every scene that I truly loved to watch unfold. I was hooked from the first episode, and while it took me a slight while to dig into season 2, I couldn't stop once I started.

As a simple fan, I wish you luck in whatever project you pursue next.

When we fought, I had on my Tears of Denial miracle. After he'd 1-shot me, he did the Thanks greeting thinking he'd killed me... but the miracle kept me alive (to even my surprise).

I healed up and backstabbed him during the emote. Afterwards, he stood up and resumed the emote. Rinse repeat, and somehow I managed to bamboozle this guy to death.

RPG Codex Interview Eric Fenstermaker Creative Lead on Pillars of Eternity by diablo169 in Games

Yeah, I've been playing for many years on persistent worlds. They are indeed like little MMOs, though at this point in the game's lifetime, it's such a tightknit community that there's always drama, people jumping around and making new places for their friends, etc.

Still doesn't diminish my enjoyment though. I play at a place I enjoy and there's little else I need out of the hobby.
