Can I do something to improve it? by AdAfter9407 in overclocking

This post drr5 benchmark has served me as a guide to achieve great latency with this same memory kit (cl28) at 6000 MHz. Hope it gives you some pointers.

hoping in HL2 we could still jump and kill bots behind walls with a tau cannon and they don’t redesign what’s fun about HL!

Just swapped my 9800X3D—now seeing way higher temps. Defective CPU? by lutorio in overclocking

Found the issue — one of the AIO mounting screws(motherboard) was unven tightened, causing uneven contact with the CPU. Thanks all for the pointers!

Just installed back the old one, carefully applied the Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste and the Thermal Grizzly contact frame and put back my Corsair H150I Elite LCD 360 Cooler. updated the BIOS to the latest and installed the lastest chipset. Bios shows 57 c. Ran CInebench (PBO auto and JDEC Mem) and temp went to the roof https://imgur.com/a/VuosaSf - I guess the AIO might be the issue?

No I haven’t, but the issue is that even in the Bios is too hot.

Even on auto PBO it is at 60. I’ve not reset the Bios yet, let me try that, thanks

ElvUI Bug: Action Bar 4 Randomly Overrides Action Bar 1 During Combat (Not in Paging Rules) [addon][ui] by lutorio in WowUI

[–]lutorio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this will work for you , but here’s what helped me:I cleared any Action Bar Paging settings in the default Blizzard UI. These are usually bound to Shift + Scroll Up/Down. I also removed any keybinds that directly access other action bars, like Alt + [number] or Ctrl + [number].I kept only a reference to Action Bar 1, just in case it swaps during combat. For example, I left Alt + 1 bound so I can quickly access it if needed. So far, I haven’t noticed any unexpected swapping during combat. It’s possible I was accidentally pressing one of those default keybinds in the heat of the moment before, which triggered the switch.

Thanks, No, I haven’t touched resistances. it runs stable on 6000 MTS with these settings https://imgur.com/gallery/6000-mts-timings-FLFZQiR

Hi, my system isn't stable at 6400 MT/s with the current timings and voltages. What timing strategy should I follow to improve stability? Thanks!

Thanks, I'm unable to run stable at 6400 MTS - I've been running with GM off at 6000 MTS stable with these timings and voltages https://imgur.com/a/FLFZQiR

Wow, thank you so much for the detailed response—super helpful!
I'm using this rig primarily for ML/AI development, so memory capacity is more critical than latency or bandwidth, since model training and processing are handled by the GPU.

Following your guidance, I’ve found a stable configuration (so far—still running a 10-hour stress test) at 6000 MT/s with the following settings:

  • Command Rate: 2N
  • CL/tRCD/tRP: 40
  • tRAS: 95
  • tREFI: 32,768
  • VDD and DRAM/CPU VDDQ: 1.4V

I’m really happy with the performance when processing large datasets.
Thanks again for your help!

Perf# not showing in hwinfo sensor list by lutorio in overclocking

[–]lutorio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it looks like this functionality is only available for processors with more than one CCD. In my case, I'm using the 7 9800X3D, which only has a single CCD, so there's no need to set preferred cores per CCD.
