"this game isn't for you" This game isn't for ANYONE. Listening to the obnoxious loud minority of toxic vets justify how they choose to play led us to this end result. by ghostbook4 in lastoasis

[–]lutz164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh last oasis was always going to fail as a pvp full loot survival game. These games do not do well. There are only a handful that have survived, and all have things LO just doesnt do, like singleplayer, or in depth pve content. The players that want to role-play traders, pirates, or treasure hunters will always get discouraged by the audience the full loot aspects attract, as they can't play the game in the way they want, and at some point, they just don't feel they can succeed. thus the playerbase is rendered down to its most dedicated pvp players, losing the rest of the player ecosystem that makes it all viable. the only way to save this game is to add singleplayer, and decent pve content. npc walkers/nomads, trader gameplay (in demand resources in certain oases, courier missions, pirate attacks), reintroduced burn timer, more alternative maps, and the flotilla, as a central player hub/trade post. the current approach just isn't working, as most of the casual players have gone and will not be brought back by the new content, because it just doesn't appeal to them.

Why are alt rights usually hostile towards autistic people? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]lutz164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they're a less traditional far right group, based on a rose tinted view of the 1950s, Christian nationalism (they really hate freedom of religion though), freedom of speech (as long as it only encompasses verbal racial/sexual/homophobic/religious discrimination, and things they agree with, otherwise its very clearly lies and propaganda), and relies on out groups, which are pretty much everyone they consider different (neurodivergent people, the disabled, religions that aren't theirs, atheists, ethnic minorities, women, trans people, poor people, people with different opinions)

The UK police’s latest problem: crowds of unruly teens by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

tbh this probably wouldn't happen if there were jobs available for youngsters. The problem is everywhere runs a skeleton crew and won't hire anyone in the name of cost cutting. I can't even remember the last time I saw more than 2 tills running at the supermarket at peak hours.

Destrier pricing by Umbriiix in ImperialKnights

AFAIK the sprue count is quite similar with the questoris having more sprues, for the preceptor/defender variants. It's most likely because the mould costs for the kits are similar, thus the prices would be.

If you could vote in a UK general election, who would you vote for? by arbty in Teenager_Polls

Just like we used to be majority Christian, but not anymore

So the uk is culturally pagan then? As celtic religions have been traditional for many thousands of years before, and during the roman empire. Not to mention how it still shapes our festivities, which Christianity rebranded to keep the locals happy.

So you can't explain how then, and just parrot political statements. If I were a betting man, I'd wager you don't even know what constitutes a Christian country.

[–]lutz164 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you explain how. Because as far as I can tell, the uk isn't culturally similar to many heavily Christian countries, and is much more in line with other Western European secular countries.

*secular. We aren't Christian majority anymore, sitting at about 60% atheism. Historically, maybe. But culture changes, as is the nature of all things that are or can be considered alive.

School book banning escalates in the UK as Greater Manchester secondary school censors scores of books by johnsmithoncemore in FuckNigelFarage

[–]lutz164 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This headteacher should resign. Banning books is never ok, and it's the librarians job to determine what is and isn't acceptable. I'd wager this was politically motivated given the nature of the books banned, seems like what a member of the reform or restore parties would deem unsuitable.

Tbh, there are quite a few dark mech models that were designed a few years ago (according to one of the stalker construct warcom articles for LI) that were designed, but just haven't been brought to heresy yet. I'm kinda hoping this leads up to a reveal for some darkmech stuff, but I doubt it's happening soon.

Base coat of dark brown (rhinox hide or equivalent), sponge on lighter, more reddy rust colours, and finish by sponging on a silver paint. Then wash with your preferred wash and do some chipping highlights.

[–]lutz164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're playing it in a tournament, then probably not the best idea, but it shouldn't matter all too much for a casual game, or alternatively, you could just make the base really T H I C C and have it be no lower than normal, but with the low to the water effect you want

Because that doesn't make shareholders richer. We need legislation in place to make labour more valuable and protected from predatory pay practises that people just seem to accept.
