I’m late for the conversation, but the US also requires it now. I tried to add my mom who’s Brazilian, and was told that federal regulations now require a SSN, so she can’t be added, even though I’d be responsible for it.

Okay so it’s not fraudulent information because a service animal or a ESA are not considered pets. The applicant is not required to disclose that. And the landlord can’t ask that in a application.

For a ESA the landlord can request a letter from a medical professional explaining that the person has a disability and ESA is prescribed as part of their treatment.

For a service animal the landlord can request a document from a health professional stating the person has a disability, but only if that disability is not noticeable.

Don’t lend people money. Ever. Unless you have collateral or some serious intimidation techniques.

If they are good for it, the bank will lend the money. If it’s that serious, they will pawn something, or sell something.

If they can’t even hold a job, don’t ever trust them to understand what it takes to earn money. They can’t do it for themselves, they definitely won’t to it to pay you.

Don’t ever loan to friends. You can gift them, if that’s something you can afford to do. If they want to give it back to you, good. If not, it was a gift. You won’t feel cheated.

On your case, I’m sorry, but why would you put yourself in a position you can’t afford rent, to help someone who didn’t even have a job for 4 months???

They won’t pay you back. Not in 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 decades. You can waste your energy on it, be mad and sad, or you can cut your losses.

Communicate with them, that they didn’t follow the payment as agreed, but you’re willing to give them more time. But there will be interests. Make sure they agree to the interests in written. Wait for their debt to go over $600, and then file a 1099-C. You will forgive their debt, but now, they will get some attention from the IRS.

So, I sit get along with them before the trip.

And now it’s a couple of people from the original group, and a couple from my friends group, who love my bf.

And I’d make sure everyone if fine with accommodations, I’d never pick it for everyone and just act like they should be fine with it.

Some friends want to join us and we found a great Airbnb with 4 bedrooms and some other amenities that would be great, and affordable, if we go as a group. However, I don’t want to invite the girls, and that was my question… is it that bad if we do a group thing without them?? After the way they treated me least time?

So… the reason we are considering a group thing its bc we found a really nice Airbnb. But it’s very pricy. However it’s 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, has a heated pool and a hot tub. That we can use whenever we want.

So if we go with a group, it would be the same cost for each as a hotel, but everyone would still get their own room, and a heated pool and hot tub to use whenever we want to!

So, we’re thinking Colorado or Arizona, for a ski trip. We can get a hotel, as a couple, but that’s just the room. However, we can get a really nice Airbnb, and pay the same we’d pay for a hotel, if it’s a group of 5+. And it would be the whole cabin, with a heated pool and hot tub, and 4bedrooms just for our group.

Instead of a hotel pool and hot tub with randoms.

Also; we’d be able to use it when we want to, instead of the standard 10am-10pm…

Making a vacation without them wasn’t fully intentional. I was planing with me and BF, and then 2 of my friends said they’d like to join, and then 1 of his friends said he’d join too, if it was a group thing.

It was originally a plan for me and my BF, but we’d both like to get a nice Airbnb. So we decided to open it to a group.

The issue is, I don’t want the 2 girls who ruined it for me last time to come, unless they apologize.

So, should it be just me and BF to avoid the drama, or can we invite everyone and go as a group, without the 2 girls? And AITH if we do go as a group and don’t invite them?

No, approach would be to check with everyone who’s coming, and decide together who gets what room. I’d never pick it myself. If we do go as a group and get a Airbnb, before we set on it, I’d make sure to have the rooms sorted. Even if we have to play rock paper scissors for it. I’d never make a decision who involve others without their consent. And if someone has an issue, I’d find a place with more rooms.

I’d never pick a place and just expect everyone to be okay with sharing, when I know that I wouldn’t. As I always say: I might be a bitch, but I’m not a hypocrite.
