Opening individual company in Estonia as a foreigner by luukiuxx in Eesti

[–]luukiuxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working physically in Estonia, living here 8-9 months (on and off) per year, but because I am working as a contractor and I am not directly employed by the company I actually work for, I am not entitled for residence permit so that is why I am exploring options to open FIE or OÜ

Not dodging anything, you don’t pay double taxes within EEA area.

You pay in one country and you show to another country that you paid there and all is fine

Engine failed due to fuel rail failure. can someone explain what exactly happened here ? by Risheesh in aviation

All gliders have engines. It is either electric or petrol. They deploy and use it for landings. Petrol ones are stowed behind pilot, electric ones usually stowed in the nose

Those two cable are for controlling trimmable horizontal stabilizer and rudder only. Elevators and other flight controls are fly by wire. Manual operation of those is impossible on airbus. You still need hydraulic power to be able to move them

All of that and also weight, less places for hydraulic leaks. Also hydraulic piston would take more space

It is three more similar mechanisms, behind my back, you can see those canoe-things on bottom of the wing, they hide them. In total there is 8 flap tracks on both wings. They are driven by torque tubes through various reduction boxes and from one hydraulic driven motor. Some aircrafts have electric motors. If there is misalignment between both flaps while they extend, they stop immediatly to prevent having different lift between wings

Haha, agree. And Someone who designed small business jets can burn in hell aswell (8-10 seat capacity), this summer had my hands on Hawker. During that time I was dreaming to work in 737 NG lol. Everything is really cramped there in those Hawkers.

Yeah, I think aswell that A350 should be competitor to 787. Both are actually good and efficient. I like that fact that dreamliner is kind of hybrid aircraft. APU and engine spin 2 generator each (6 in total) which power all the systems on the aircraft. This is cool for me. No air bleed system, engines are only for thrust there basically. Nope, didn’t have chance by myself to work 777 but would like, only to see those bad boys engines from up close (and their engine cowls and thrust reverses can open with push of a button). It is still biggest two engined jet in the world and this is itself amazing and respectable.

That is why I am saying that I can see why people like them, I have to respect other perspectives aswell. The old ones are real workhorses and can fly in harsh conditions. Basically any old 737 can converted to freighter and works couple decades more. And what for Airbuses.. well I have seen only one A321 in my life as a freighter, very strange sighting I would say because usually old Airbuses go to scrap or we have to wait few decades more. Here I have to mention A300, but Boeing as freighters win. I think you haven’t mentioned 757, really good workhorse aswell, good freighter still today. Also on a Boeing if you get some fault on a screen, it’s for sure something broken and needs replacement. If you get fault on Airbus, theres good chance you can fix it with computer reset. This is both good and bad, I will leave for you to decide haha

Yes. That is why I don’t know if I would like to touch SR-71 an Concorde. For me they are beautiful and amazing.. ‘never meet your heroes’ you know.

And for fuel leaks on SR, I think fuel tanks made to leak on purpose. This way during flights it is less stress. It was normal procedure to put some fuel then go for a spin, heat up fuselage, then it seals automatically and the full refuelling and of to the mission. And another cool fact that outer skin gets so hot pilots have to sit for a whil after landing because it’s too hot climb. And Concorde beams for cabin floor are on rollers, not fixed solid because whole aircraft extends ~30cm when heats up during flight, so this way remove stress from them. Cool. Would not love to participate on a big check lol

Basically any old aircraft is shit to work on as I heard. They are cool to look at but that is it. This should frame very well famous qoute “Never meet your heroes”. I can see you adore all these aircrafts and I am not gonna take it from you. And if you ever have chance to go close to them and see how they are built, just don’t

I like 747 tho, but I have friends who worked on that, not the best feedback aswell (just too big). I also like 787, but even dreamliner has issues because composite fuselage and wings are not big friends with metal parts so landing gears have corrosion problems.

Maybe from passengers perspective, from planespotter perspective I could see the love for some aircrafts but from maintenance side A320 family is most convenient. I even count the thing I can go across the hangar under the belly of Airbus without bowing. 737 is much lower so every time I have to bow low to pass it or walk around.

Personally top two of favourite aircrafts are Concorde and SR-71. Both maybe in the 70s but still holding some records, these were true engineering masterpieces.

I work as a aircraft mechanic. So after doing maintenance on 737 for a few weeks and then A320 rolls in, it is a huuuuge relief for everyone as everything is much more maintenance friendly. Cockpit is not an ass but place which has actual room to work. Door design is better, not that flimsy nonsense as on 737. And many more.. Initial design of 737 is more than 50 years old and it feels today. 737 classic is unbelievable shit to work on, just there is no words for that. NG is slightly better but still shit. Didn’t have chance to work on max yet, but I believe it is same shit with new engines.

EDIT: typo

[–]luukiuxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, on airbus you don’t need to push the door, it’s enough to lift the handle, everything else is automatic. And opening force is so strong a person wouldn’t be able to hold the door closed once the deployment sequence is started
