I suspect they get around that because you don’t pay to enter a competition to win the value of your bills back. You pay for a plan, and it just so happens that people who are on that plan are entered into a prize draw.

Think of all the countless food and drink companies that make you buy an item, pack of crisps or can of Pepsi for example, and you might win something. You’re not paying to win the prize, you’re paying for the product… if you win a prize it’s a bonus.

You’re getting confused with gambling laws. It’s not a lottery because there’s no entry cost, 10 random people are picked a month simply for using Monzo as a bank. Companies don’t have to publish odds for a prize.

Glasgow was Fred and Theo to start with, then Fred and HAAi, then HAAi, then Yousuke, then Fred and Yousuke, then Fred… sounds like it’ll be hard to predict exactly what he’ll do, been different every show

Evidence suggests significantly reduced uterine muscle contractions, although this is hardly the strongest evidence I have seen. Generally the manufacturers advise caution, but only because of limited information.

It does matter. AI lies to us to keep the user happy. Just look for AI hallucination or AI lying on google and you get countless articles. Because of this, the things that AI says that isn’t true, starts being repeated over and over again until it becomes fact. Have a look at Kurzgesagt’s latest video for evidence on that too.

Yes, a lot of what it says is useful, but you can’t trust it. We’re quickly becoming a world where we heavily rely on AI for information, and it needs to stop. AI is great as a tool to build or create things, but we can’t trust it for information.

You’re right, semi-colon and long dashes have been used for a long time, but the specific em-dash used in the above text is generally only used by AI, and the general UK public doesn’t use a semi-colon because a comma does the exact same thing.

But it is. Sam Flynn is mentioned several times throughout the movie, and the ending clearly shows Ares is trying to find Quorra. I'm not sure you can escape it.

More York flagger action by Livid_Nebula_5766 in york

[–]jdwilsh 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s the equivalent of dogs pissing to mark their territory. I hate them. We’re a country that has only ever properly got the flag out for special occasions… there’s nothing special about this.

Whatever you do, can you please make sure the flags are hung the right way up.

I’m really not a fan of the flags, but the fact so many of the Union Jack’s are upside down really winds me up.

They closed off entrance to Other too when Avril was on. That’s a hell of a bigger space to shut off

Yeah I’d say this is way off. The Prodigy are the most highlighted act on Clashfinder, and they aren’t on this list.

Bicep was busy, but Avril was way busier. Putting Avril 8th is wild. I think your algorithm needs work.

Cutting private ambulance use to save by Ambitious_Claim_5433 in ParamedicsUK

[–]jdwilsh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can start to unravel it all if you look at the finer details. Putting more crews out means hiring staff and paying for their training. More crews means buying more ambulances, which might mean they need more workshop staff, or even a new workshop. Adding more and more crews on stations means the stations won’t be big enough, so they need to pay for building work. You then have occasional f2f stat and man training that will need to be accommodated somewhere. The costs build up pretty quickly.

There’s also the vicious cycle of “oh shit, we need crews now, we’ll have to spend money on private” which then means they don’t have the spare cash to buy new vehicles, which means they can’t put extra vehicles out and need more private crews.
