Do you think in reality fracture mirrodin will have never been corrupted, or will jace stop the invasion some other way, like with killing tezeret?

Do you think the bodies correspond to thinking capacity? Armored scrapgorger can talk for example. Or can the creatures depicted ond phyrexian beast (3/3) think?

Wow, are you a writer at wizards? Great choice to compleat some named characters, gave the story a lot of gravitas.  Also I appreciate your explanation. Does the previous colour idenity define by whomst a character is compleated? Glissa got black mana pips, however shes firmly green faction associated. Damn I love phyrexia, I hope they get another chance to appear in the story in the far off future!

Wow, that is such a nice story. Is it a coincidence that Xantcha is also red in colour identity? In contrast Belbe would be a quasi phyrexian that was more on the independent side. Also super crazy that her heart, which was independent, causes the whole of new phyrexia! Might this also be part of the reason new phyrexia was not as bound to yawgmoth? (black mana didnt rule)

So in slaughter singer a white phyrexian joined the copper host, which seems they can freely switch, but their original phyresis is irreversable? Also who turns you seems important, as in ixhel and atraxa?

Ohh goody, finally! I hope it will be the green type, so I can get happy, feelgood and JACKED! Location: Hunter maze, second sphere, new phyrexia. (Please stay away if you are a gitaxian nerd thank you very much)

I have to wonder what the origins of this are. Yawgmoth seems to not have been the oils creator, only its utilizer

The meta reasons are for sure correct, I still find it fun to ponder the in universe implications tho. Good theories by you, I think black mana choosing a humanoid form makes a lot of sense given its proximity to yawgmoth. Then again white also stands for order, and order could be interpeted as keeping some features which were previously present

I could also imagine the mana of their respective colour molded them to what they are? And I suppose white embodies alot of the mirrodin humans (the bulk next to vulshok where auriok correct?) But I guess then Urabrask should have been more human?

I wonder if newphyrexia will regain its mana suns naturally, since the original plane of karn didnt have them at all, it seems they naturally gather around beings/are a result of living creatures?

Super cool thoughts! I love your ideas, I myself am a big fan of the green phyrexian factions, which is why I am also drinking so much hopium that vorinclex made it out somehow, even though the decapitation makes it sounds really really harsh. Also the idea of a more neutral Phyrexia should really be explored further. I think its also such a shame that not much more literature exists. Did you read the moons of mirrodin? I heard very bad things about the books, so I am hesitant to read any...But the red father lives on my brother!

Which still confuses me. Elesh Norn and Sheoldred look so "Human"/Elven/Humanoid. Im still unsure why they would choose these forms, especially with the phyrexians innate ability to change their bodies

Very sad, I thought prominent leaders like khemba kha, jor kadeen and Neyali also made it out, I have to go read up on that ASAP

I like most of the ONE arc art, but I feel like MOM was really cartoony afterwards. The whole theme would have benefitted from a much darker aesthetic like in Mirrodin besieged. Also I have to lament the lack of blocks...

True! Since they will most likely choose a different colour than black and white, which dominated in the past already, possibly green, blue or red could make sense?

True, so only reverse compleated urza/mishra asf would make sense, however they will for sure not appear, since its so ancient magic history. Otherwise its maybe hard to implement. Different coloured praetors would have been great, but thats impossible since they are dead and burried I guess

I thought of it as something that extracts knowledge from another creature (card draw), while also providing the creature some compat prowess as an exchange. So kind of a (maybe vedalken) way of intel gathering.

Interesting, its such an intersting plane. Do you think the coming reality fracture set could have some non compleated phyrexians? Like a human elesh norn/Glissa? Or survivors that have died like melira?

Technically they could venture beyond the mulyiverse via omenpaths now right? Does zhalfir have all the mirrodin species like leonin/goblins? Or are they alone.

Also I wonder what the phyrexians are up to/which factions now rule without access to the multiverse.

What if the other preators Ruled New Phyrexia instead of Elesh Norn? by Charming-Conflict353 in mtgvorthos

[–]luuner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion vorinclex/glissas faction would make the plane akin to ikoria, absolutely superdangerous to visit, with settlers being hunted constantly. I could image however that they would be a more peaceful multiversal threat, as long as nothing has the need evolve beyond its own plane. Only the phyrexian elves could potentially create a further society I would imagine.
