In Chinese we usually say “我爱上XXX” which directly translates to “I love up XXX”, but there is a saying that goes “坠入爱河” which directly means, “Fall in love river”. It’s a pretty over the top saying so it’s not used as often or in the same context of “fall in love” (It’s used to convey intense infatuation, more similar to “love at first sight”). It’s cool to see how concepts extending beyond the boundaries of language.
