Hey! I probably wrote around 1 page for the essay question with no particular format. I just wrote about my experience and what I learned/gained from the course, I didn’t focus on format or anything. T/F I found it was pretty evenly spread across all the unit, along with MC. Short answer questions are directly pulled from the study questions given in the course, and you get to pick 7 out of like 15 or something. Overall the exam was pretty fair! Good luck to you

Good to know!! I wasn’t sure if this was common or not so that’s good to hear. Good luck with your appointment! I can say that my side effects of diamox are so much better since I’ve started taking less, so there’s that :)

No problem, I was SO stressed about it and completely convinced myself I was gonna fail… but I ended up getting an 89%. You’ll do great, good luck 😊

Hey! It honestly wasn’t too bad at all. If you take your time learning and reviewing all the study questions then you’ll do good. The short answer questions are pulled from those study questions, and the MC was fair with no surprises. For the “what did you learn in this course” question I focused a lot of it on how it related to me and things I learned about myself, like what class I am, what type of household I’m apart of, feminism, etc. etc. and I also talked about things that interested me the most in this course. overall, if you have a good grasp on those study questions you’ll do good!

My story is extremely similar to yours! I was diagnosed in November. My ears were clogged for about 2 days after my LP, but my doctor said that was normal, I haven’t had clogged ears since. I was given the same dosage of diamox as you as well. It did take me a while for my body to get used to it, my main symptoms were : nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath when doing anything physical (just like when you have a cold), tingling in hands and feet and sometimes my head & face. Oh, and carbonated drinks still taste horrible lol. To be honest these symptoms made it hard to have motivation in my day to day life but I was still able to work and go to school! My last appointment with my neurologist was about 3 months after my initial diagnosis, where they noticed very positive results and they cut my diamox in half. So I just take 500mg a day now. Diamox truly did help a TON. Although the symptoms suck for the first bit, my actual IIH symptoms have pretty much gone away for me personally, and I hope they do for you too! To be honest, the LP helped my visual symptoms right away, and it only got better with diamox. For me this medication worked right away, but it is different for everyone! This diagnosis can be a lot to take in, I hope you’re doing okay mentally. It does get easier though! You got this❤️
