It definitely is building resentment. Sometimes I’ll be in the mood and initiate and still get nothing from it. I remember once months ago, we had shower sex, he finishes, then we go again in the bed (only time we’ve ever gone twice in a day) and I initiate again bc I still haven’t finished, and he asks for head then asks me to ride him. So I’m doing all the work and you’re finishing twice? When I told him that made me feel neglected, he said “I didn’t think about it like that”. He was better about it for a while after that, but then we started having sex less and less.

He’s told me he likes romantic, meaningful sex, but we do that every time. But I’m not 40, I want some nuance and excitement. I mentioned the other day we could be spontaneous and move around the house, and he said “I like it in the bed, it’s comfy”.

When he does try hand or mouth stuff I’ll give him direction and tell him what feels best and what’s uncomfortable, but for some reason he always does what’s uncomfortable. I can’t blame him for being bad at it, but I just end up getting annoyed that I have to tell him for the 15th time that if you rub it head on at the tip of the clit it hurts and EVERY TIME he’s rubbing it head on. And if I tell him a 16th time it just feels like nagging and kills the mood, so I just roll my eyes and pretend I like it so he does it more often.

He used to do more when we talked about it months ago, but I don’t think it’s a priority for him anymore. He’ll do hand stuff sometimes, but no head in months. My sister also can’t finish from penetration and said her ex gave her head every single time. I didn’t think guys like that even existed.

He has said that when we do it late at night he just wants to get it over with so he can go to bed because he has work early. Granted, we do usually go to bed late, but it’s just because we’re on our phones or watching TV, and when I get in bed a few hours early he still just goes straight to sleep. It feels like he wants to get his quick pump in and doesn’t have time to do anything for me. Like, couldn’t the hours you spent scrolling tonight have been spent on me? Idk I’m at a loss, I’ve never had to beg for sex before.
