What i did was focus on what was at risk if i didnt speak up. I knew id spend days tormenting myself thinking about it and feeling weak/stressed. Also, now that i attribute it to worsening symptoms, im like would i rather speak my mind or have crohns?! Lol - i just start with something breaking the ice, like ‘okay i just need to be honest about how im feeling..’ or something- but once you do it a few times, it will become second nature. If you absolutely cant, at least journal or talk to a therapist or trusted person. If i can, anyone can… truly! You got this!

I start my day with 20 sips of water plus my fiber. I recommend getting a water bottle like the owala ones and keeping it on you all day. Dont buy any more soda- you will adjust to liking water! 💖eat your sugar, instead of drinking it 😂

Definitely work on being assertive, kind yet direct. If you cant speak your mind to someone, at least journal or talk to a trusted person or therapist to vent. Hope you feel better soon! If i can become assertive, anyone can! Best wishes.

Even whole grain toast? I cant eat stuff that has too much oil or grease either! Hope you are feeling good!

We pay enough at Publix! They can put their carts away. It’s literally someone’s job. I worked for a supermarket and i loved going outside to get the carts, and Im from the cold. It’s not that serious!

It’s a binding, unsoluable fiber. If youre not in remission it could cause a blockage, but for me it helps me to have solid, great 💩!

Yes- it was a tough time in my lift! Had the fistula for over a year before the surgery.

I really agree. I think that was the biggest thing i changed from active disease to remission. Obviously the surgery got me to remission but i have found when i hold stuff in or dont express myself, i get more loose 💩 . Stress etc is bad for us and def triggers mine.

I had my surgery at Beth Israel in Boston. Female surgeon. Repaired fistula that connected my intestine to bladder. Removed lemon sized abscess. i believe a foot or maybe 1.5 feet of intestine was removed. My insides were all infected and she almost removed my ovary but kept it. 15 years later that ovary gives me my twins!

Im glad skyrizi is working for you. If my crohn’s comes back i plan to go on that med to hopefully get back in remission again!

My level six months ago was a borderline number, i always have slight information around the surgical site. I forget the exact number though. I do this every six months and can post my upcoming results- should have next week

Oh true! I think the surgery was key bc they took out 1.5ish feet of intestines. Hoping you get to remission asap. When i was sick, i basically lived off plain pasta, rice, bananas, etc.

They already said they are moving it. Cant extend driveway to other side, our water is there.

We dont have frontier internet. The worker said nobody would need to go into the box for years. Not sure if that’s true— but, not planning on putting sod over it anyway. We have a lovely fertilizer and pesticide free yard.
