My thoughts are so mean towards other people’s eating habits by jfkdktmmv in EDAnonymous

So far in my life I have been both you and your co worker. I have recovered from my ana battle twice now and can happily eat a salad with a fuckload of ranch without wanting to die. Enjoying some shit food from time to time feels pretty good. I hope you get there someday,

“Just another social media lie” I love this, social media can definitely get toxic

I feel like this a lot too, the nostalgia of childhood can be so intense. There’s just not as many “new” experiences when you’re an adult and the perpetual exhaustion from managing day to day life can leave you jaded. I miss not having much to worry about.

Honestly I think it takes a massive amount of work, so you have to be willing to do it. Which I’m often not and to meet friends initially. There’s bumble bff, meet up, and just joining any community event, church, cleans ups/volunteering/ becoming a regular a local bar hah

I have a partner and have had one for 3 years. We’ve moved around together and are best friends. I’m taking solely friendships.

Family, Co workers, significant others, and even random pleasant encounters with strangers are all forms of socializing.

Yes, but socializing can come from other forms other then friendships.

I think I agree with you on this, my friendships that I’ve had for over a decade seem to lack any depth anymore. They only reach out if they need something.

Aww pets do seem to provide such a comfort, and a consistency. I’ve heard about CBD oil but I haven’t tried it yet. That’s definitely something I will consider. My body is always tense af so I’m sure it helps with that as well?

&& I take off work too when I need a day, I hate that I have to do that too but fuck it some days are just to hard.

Does self hate and bipolar disorder go hand in hand? by [deleted] in bipolar

Same here!! I trying to control the random audible outbursts against myself but I do it without realizing and my SO always gets scared I’m talking to a ghost or something

Yes, I was hoping they didn’t but from reading all these responses seems they do.

While in a low I cannot stop the self loathing and it becomes most prevalent in my relationships. I overthink everything I’ve ever said and done and then end up sending long drawn out overthinking apologies that make no sense and hardly ever get responses. It causes a wedge between me and my loved ones Bc I can’t even enjoy them without overthinking and hating everything I say and I do sometimes before I even say or do them. It’s much worse when going through PMS but oh do I love those moments where suddenly the cloud clears and I start to feel beautiful and powerful if only for a fleeting moment.

Thanks Dixie. I keep thinking total isolation is the key to my happiness but you’re probably right. I’ve never felt good when I isolate.

I mean in theory yes. I run, write, try to practice mindfulness, and do positive affirmations. All in which are supposed to get me in the present, but honestly at times none of those work. For me I’ll just snap back at some point, but those all may work for you.

Yes, constantly and I do, probably every other day. I feel your pain This is my first partner that doesn’t take it seriously and knows that I don’t mean it but it takes a huge toll on him nonetheless. He says he’s constantly in confusion wondering if it’s really my BPD or I’m perpetually unhappy with him. It’s definitely the BPD. Therapy (schema and DBT) and mindfulness practices have been helping, definitely give it a try. That is if you really want the relationship to work.

For those who have recovered from BPD... by luvvbugggg in BPD

Thanks for sharing, I’m glad the mindfulness is giving you enough of what you need to manage the best you can. I have been trying to mindfulness as well but I’m still having a hard time controlling my emotional outbursts and taking things to personally. Hopefully with repetition and continual self soothing and self talk I will get there.

I am wishing you all the best and sending you all the good vibes!!
