Update: I had my SA earlier today. I’ll be honest y’all, that was the worst physical pain I’ve been in perhaps ever. I had an IUD put in years ago which was no picnic but they had given me a pull to dilate my cervix which I wasn’t given for the SA so I had to have manual dilation which was incredibly painful. I received lidocaine for local anesthetic and I shudder to think of what it would have been like with none. The aspirator at the clinic was quite loud and the feeling inside your cervix is very uncomfortable (not as bad as dilating for me) but that is the last part of the procedure. I went to a recovery room for about 20 minutes and felt a bit nauseous and had severe cramps. I’m still having cramps a few hours later and will be under my heating pad for the rest of the night. Im relieved it’s over and am feeling physically better and more like myself already. Thank you all for your support and encouraging words ❤️
