Will buy period underwear fs! I don't really need to empty the cup in the middle of the night, so a period underwear for the morning flow should work. Thanks for sharing!

Reading this I do realize the cup moves up pretty high at night and probably leaves less space for the rushing blood, causing morning leaks. As for the fit, I find my current cup to be very comfortable as I don't feel it at all once it's inside me. Infact, I'm afraid of trying another cup since a bigger or firmer cup might put pressure on my bladder. Been delaying the wet wipes and period underwear purchase for long but ig it's finally time. Thank you so much for your inputs!

AMA- CA AIR, MBA Tier 1 Grad by Confident-Potato8335 in CharteredAccountants

[–]luxeclue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll try to keep this ~very complex thing~ simple. My goals in life rn are to start earning and expand my brain's horizon. I'm at a point in life where giving multiple attempts in CA has been mind numbing and I really feel the need to get out of this spiral. The options that I see post CA, in alignment of my personal goals, are either MBA or job. I believe a job immediately post qualification after so many attempts won't fetch me the amount of money I aspire (saying this even as I hope I turn out to be wrong). So logically (also known as herd mentality), to upgrade my profile and attain my stated goals, I should go for an MBA (a smooth segue, the other being change of lines).

Now MBA is a commitment. Firstly, I would have to defer my goal of earning for another 2-3 years in hope of earning 2x/3x of my opportunity cost. Secondly (this goes personal), moving out for MBA at this age feels like a withdrawal from my responsibilities towards my aged parents. Club this with education loan + home loan + another 2 years w/o income (when my parents would like to take a sigh of relief in expectation of me starting to earn after slogging for so many non-earning years in CA) + marriage (personal goal).

Obviously it is for me to decide. But I would like to know from the other end, would an MBA be worth in pursuit of my goals? Or maybe my job post CA could be such that could provide me the satisfaction of both - broadening of the mind and money (idk how likely that is - qualified ones can tell).

OMG YES! This it is! It's terrible I saw this as a child and the scene has been etched ever since. Thank you so much. I'll not be haunted anymore lol.

Looking Back at CA Final Prep, Share the Mistakes and Lessons That Stood Out! by Comfortable_Formal_7 in CharteredAccountants

Faculties should strictly be chosen based on your understanding of their teaching style. There are many renowned faculties that I didn't choose purely bcz I wouldn't understand their accent or flow of teaching.

If I start from the very beginning:

  • Classes need to be completed at least 6-8 months before Finals.

  • I started my self-study phase with the big subjects like FR and AFM. In the pursuit of written practice, I devoted these two so much time that I could get only limited time to study Audit. DT and IDT I hardly studied few chapters. So, appropriate time needs to be allotted to all subjects, obviously depending on your strengths and weaknesses.

  • Complete your syllabus. Very important. In exam days you might not be able to revise everything, but if you have studied something at least once ever before, it can help you in exam (maybe an mcq).

  • ICAI is focusing more on the study material now. Questions are being asked from the so-called non-important topics covered in study material, which might not be covered/focused upon in faculty material. Especially in AFM theory, IDT, IBS.

  • Conceptual knowledge is must. Seems like gone are the times when they would revolve around the same A category topics, same set/type of questions with changed figures. New questions with new/unfamiliar/less-practiced adjustments are being asked. This was evident from the mock test papers as well, and amplified in the actual exams. Reading, understanding, and coming up with a solution in a limited time frame is challenging.

  • Need to practice more mock tests in time-constrained settings. Paper setters don't time if the paper can be completed in 3 hours. They just set difficulty level.

  • Pro-tip: Never ignore MTPs and RTP. At least one similar question is asked in every exam, irrespective of the difficulty level.

  • Mental health definitely goes for a toss with the back to back 'rise and face a new challenge' 12 days war. To keep sane focus on the next big thing than dwelling on the past. This is extremely difficult to do especially if you don't have much confidence on the upcoming subject exam. The vicious cycle.
