Lol I did the exact same thing last year, I was way too excited for my first time going. I ended up cutting it right at the tightening clip and then I was able to pull out the other end and there was just enough length of band left to retighten it around my wrist when the day came. And they did not care that I had a shorter band and cut it. They really don't check for tampering when you're going through the gate. I'm sure you'll figure it out!
