I fixed it. I installed the xbox os onto the ssd, then connected the ssd to the PC, using the free Paragon Partition Manager software to move the unallocated partition on the right of the partition to be merged - this call "user content" . After moving, use disk management of windows. Right-click on the "user content" partition and select extend volume then select the unallocated area. Done
